Great Jacket overall

This is a great jacket. It's perfect for hiking and camping along with walking around campus. I camped for 3 days in the rain and this jacket quickly became my favorite, it kept me wonderfully dry. The only reason I took off a star is that if the jacket is not zipped the velcro near the zipper gets stuck to the inside mesh pockets. I worry about it ripping the inside of the mesh. Otherwise it's a great jacket.

I don't know if they're actually waterproof. I have gotten mine quite wet before (walking in the rain, not actually soaked though) and they dried very fast, also they kept the unexposed parts of my socks dry, though as I said it was just a rain downpour not anything as extreme as white water rafting.
