soft, RELAXED

The North Face Overboard Capri - Women's

The North Face Overboard Capri - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 1, 2008

I ordered these to have capris to keep my knees from frying on river rafting trips. Very soft fabric. Run pretty true-to-size, relaxed fit. I usually wear a 0-4, ordered a 6 (wanted room for rowing) and it was a too big. If they had a smaller size in black (need them dark so that a base layer is optional!) I'd definitely be keeping them.

bad fit for me

The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pant - Women's

The North Face Paramount Porter Convertible Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 May 1, 2008

I'm a petite, muscular 5'5", 115, long torso. These fit me horribly: big in the waist, tight around the things. I've never had pants be too tight around my thighs before! Length was fine, which probably means they run on the short side, as I often have to hem my pants. And they are by no means low-rise. Other than the fit, I love that they're so all-in-one - shorts are a nice length, conversion to capris is a simple, effective button. Fabric is kind of heavy - not for SoCal deserts, better for fall/springs deserts or high altitude summers. It does look sturdy, though.
