Switch Vision Avalanche Slide Sunglasses - Polarized Glare Kit

Switch Vision Avalanche Slide Sunglasses - Polarized Glare Kit

Rating for this product: 5 January 14, 2012

These are the sickest sunglasses i have ever skied in. they are light weight, polarized and fit my face like a glove. the greatest thing is the magnetic interchangeable lenses that come with these and all of the Switch Vision sunglasses. Most interchangeable lenses are a hassle to deal with, especially if you are skiing, biking or any outdoor activity. These aren't, they high magnets in the lenses, so it is a breeze to change these bad boys out. Plus they stay in. You have to give these a try.

Costa Del Mar Hammerhead Polarized Sunglasses - Costa 580 Glass Lens

May 14, 2010

The reason the Costa 580 lens is better than the Costa 400 is that we have found on the light spectrum scale, the human eye cannot see yellow light. That is the light that causes glare and distortion. So when you can't see the glare or the distortion everything you see is more vivid, more real. Your reds are redder, greens are greener and blues are bluer. It doesn't change what you are seeing, it helps you see what is truly out there. It is a patented lens and the Costa 580 lens comes in (5) colors, Gray, Copper, Blue Mirror, Green Mirror and Silver Mirror.
The Costa 400 is still the bar that all high quality polarized sunglass companies compare themselves to, Costa just took it up a couple of notches.

Costa Del Mar Howler Polarized Sunglasses - Costa 580 Glass Lens

April 16, 2010

Yes, the Costa 580 lenses are the best lenses in the sunglass business. They are patented by Costa. What the Costa 580 lenses do is totally block out the yellow light that the human eye can see. Yellow light causes glare and distortion. When you don't see yellow light all of the other colors are truer and more vivid. So your reds are redder, blues are bluer and greens are greener. It doesn't change the color of what you are looking at you are actually seeing the true colors out there. So from that perspective, yes the Costa 580 lenses are worth the price.

Costa Del Mar Corbina Polarized Sunglasses - Costa 580 Glass Lens

March 8, 2010

The best color Costa lens for the water depends on what kind of water you are going to be on. If you are going to be on or around
Fresh water you want an Amber, Copper, Silver Mirror or Green Mirror. If you are going to be on the ocean, saltwater, then you want a Gray or Blue Mirror lens. You can get the Costa Corbina in all of those colors. Plus all Costa lenses are polarized, so that helps with cutting the glare of the water immediately.

Jeff, you may want to take a look at the Costa Del Mar Ballast or Costa Del Mar Mainsail sunglasses. They are lightweight and great for Golf. Try the Amber lenses, they will help read the greens better and they are more of a color enhancer. So your eyes are not having to work as hard to see where your golf ball landed.
