I bought this jacket thinking it would be a good jacket for the wet Portland, OR winters. The hood works great and has come in handy, and the jacket does quite well shedding water and wind. It is also an incredibly stylish jacket with a non-baggy cut. It has two downsides: Anything below 45 degrees is going to be outside of the comfort range of this jacket. It is quite thin. The Apex Bionic (which i also own) is warmer, but thicker and lacks a hood. The other drawback that another reviewer mentioned - under layers snag on the interior fabric of this jacket. It makes is so you have to unbunch material under your armpits. It is kind of a hassle because you have to have a very warm layer under this jacket in winter because it is not warm enough on its own. All in all it is a good jacket if you are going to be doing aerobic activities in Spring like temps. If you need a jacket for colder weather look elsewhere.

First the good things:
Very comfortable - and great for high volume feet
Great looking design.

Now the bad stuff:

After three days the lace snapped while tightening the shoe. I call Salomon and told them about it. They said they were sending a new lace in the mail that day, but didn't explain how they heck i would be able to put it in given that this is not a traditional lace. That was 15 days ago, and i got a damn thing from Salomon. I expected better quality and better customer service.

This pack is a great pack for skiing. It fits everything you need, water, food, extra layers, goggles, and more. Despite the fact that it carries a ton, it really has a low profile and hugs your back. Unless you stuff it full of heavy stuff it really follows your body and doesn't throw your balance off when you are carving turns. It has several useful pockets for things like an extra water bottle, your phone, or your camera. Very thoughtful design and excellent construction.

Bought these pants early in the season. Was a little skeptical at first about bibs, but i am sold, and prefer them to pants. I live in Oregon and ski Mt. Hood where the snow is often wet and it is quite windy. For most of the season I only wore my boxers underneath and remained very comfortable and dry. When the temps fell below 25 degrees light weight thermals are all you need. It has a roomy fit without being baggy. The ventilation zips on the inner thigh work great when things warm up. I also found the chest pocket to be quite useful for my wallet or slim camera. All in all, i think these pants are a bargain for what you get. As far as i can tell they are completely water proof and very durable. Buy them - you won't regret it.

This is practically a perfect pack. It fits a ton of gear (food, 100oz bladder, extra lawyers, phone, keys, camera) and still has a slim profile. The construction is excellent, and it doesn't move around on your back when you are cutting sharp turns. The slim fit means you won't have any problems when you decide to get on the ski lift to hit the groomers. It was so good i bought one for my girlfriend. The price also makes this a great deal.
