These will get you to the surface and give you that surfy feeling and they will power you out of your turn with a nice spring and pop at the apex of the carve. Mine are mounted with Telebindings 22Designs Axl at boot center.

Tour Great

Voile Switchback Telemark Ski Binding

Voile Switchback Telemark Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 April 5, 2011

Voile did well with the Switchback binding. It tours well with my Scarpa T2 and TRace boots. I have these on my lighter skinny skis 110 underfoot and 22Designs Axl under my heavy larger skis. Never had a problem with Voile and I have used the Hardwires, Hardwire 3pin and 3pin mountaineers.

What you want.

Voile Telepro Shovel

Voile Telepro Shovel

Rating for this product: 5 April 5, 2011

After having the Black Diamond Tele-Bobcat for years I gave the newer smaller Black Diamond Deploy a try. Black Diamonds light weight shovels blade folded under heavy use. I retuned it promptly and purchased the Voile TelePro. This bomber shovel will move lots of snow fast. It cuts through avy chunder and throws the heavy coastal snow like AT Apostle’s Honda snow blower.

Simple and Fast

Backcountry Access Tracker DTS Beacon

Backcountry Access Tracker DTS Beacon

Rating for this product: 5 April 5, 2011

Simple and Fast are two things you want if you ever have to use this in a non-practice run. The Search mode guides even the most novice users with its simple instructions leading the searcher to the victim quickly. Battery display at start up gives a percentage of life of battery charge left. Three years experience with the Tracker and 6 years with my former beacon an Orthovox F1.

Big Mountain Work Boot

La Sportiva Glacier Mountaineering Boot - Men's

La Sportiva Glacier Mountaineering Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 5, 2011

After two years and many miles these boots are still holding together. Best uses are on long hikes with a heavy load on uneven terrain these boots will give you the support and stability you will need. Overall very well built boot but they may become slick on wet rocks.
