The North Face Gotham Down Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 30, 2010

I bought this jacket before I went to Sweden. Kept me toasty warm and dry all winter above the Arctic Circle. -30°F is freakin' cold, but no problem with this jacket. Highly recommend it for all non-expedition adventures in extreme environments.

The Mother of all Packs

Osprey Packs Argon 70 Backpack - 4272-4638cu in

Osprey Packs Argon 70 Backpack - 4272-4638cu in

Rating for this product: 5 May 28, 2009

This pack is amazing! I have only taken it out a few times with loads in the 40-55 lb range and it hardly felt like I had any weight in my pack. The way the suspension system works is truly incredible. The usual pressure points that bugged after a few hours of hiking with heavy loads are non-existent! Don't wait, buy this pack today and you will never regret it!!!

The North Face Rock 22 Tent - 2-Person 3-Season

April 4, 2008

Depends on the size of the adults and child. However, it's probably a little too small for the child. With my wife (5'8" 120 lbs) and I (6'1" 210lbs) it is perfect size. Not too big, not too small. Our Big Agnes King Solomon sleeping bag basically takes up all the floor space in the tent. Hope that gives you a better idea of the size.

6 inches of unexpected snow...no problem

The North Face Rock 22 Tent - 2-Person 3-Season

The North Face Rock 22 Tent - 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 April 4, 2008

This tent is awesome! Easy to set up and take down. Packs so small in compression sacks you might lose it and great for 3 1/2 season camping. I recently took it on a 3 day trip in the lower Uintas and it snowed 6 inches one night, and this little guy held up great. Stayed warm and dry. Also, it has enough room for my wife and I, and is a perfect size for our 2 person Big Agnes King Solomon bag. The vestibules are big enough to get decent sized packs on each side. I would highly recommend buying a gear loft and footprint. Perfect backpacking tent that won't break the bank!
