Had the Mountain Light shell for about a year now and it continues to be a solid addition for every backpacking trip I take. Saved me on my recent trip to Machu Pichu during the rainy season in Peru, and is a permanent fixture in my pack for every trip. Extremely pleased with The North Face for a great overall shell.

The North Face Big Shot Backpack - 2100cu in

May 20, 2008

It holds up very well in the rain, and when I was in Peru hiking on the Incan trial during the rainy season it never let any moisture into the main compartment. Held up after constant rain for two weeks.

Overall an excellent pack that is versatile enough to be used everyday in the city or out for a quick trip on a trail somewhere. Any laptop smaller than 16 inches fits perfectly into the built in compartment and is protected by the back pad. All-around a very comfortable daypack.
