Arc'teryx Sabre SV Jacket - Men's

February 24, 2012

This is not meant to fit close. This is Arcteryx most relaxed cut ever. It is new school gear for stylish people. You would be much better off with almost any other Arcteryx jacket because their standard fit is exactly what you are looking for. I am 5'10" 155lbs, and have a medium. It is the greatest jacket I have ever owned. I've had a few Arcteryx jackets, and used to always have to buy a large to get the fit I was looking for. Baggy, but not 17 year old long tee style baggy. Sleeve length is perfect for me, but I have long arms.

Exped SynMat Sleeping Pad

Exped SynMat Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 October 30, 2010

This is the future. These pads are unbelievable comfortable. Want to be the envy of all of your friends on your next camping trip? These pads are more comfortable than any thermarest pads, or even a full size air mattress. Does take a little time to pump up, but the hand pump system works very well. It's great not having to blow it up by mouth. Insulation is great when it's cold out, but does not make it hot when it's warm outside.

DAKINE Drafter Pack - 700cu in

DAKINE Drafter Pack - 700cu in

Rating for this product: 5 October 30, 2010

I love this pack. It carries leg armor, and a full-face helmet very well without any flopping around. The ventilation on your back is crucial. Perfect size bladder. Two great padded pockets for phone, sunglasses, ipod, etc. This pack also holds up well to abrasions, and abuse from throwing it around in the back of trucks, and falling. Recommended to any downhiller.

Freeride Weapon of Choice for JH

Arbor Abacus Snowboard

Arbor Abacus Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 January 8, 2009

I have an Abacus from last year. Love it. The description says this board has a forgiving flex. Maybe they've changed it, because mine is super stiff, and poppy (which I love). This board is so fast. I can cut through chop at full speed without a problem. This thing powers through crud like a champ. It crushes deep pow effortlessly with no rear leg-burn. I used to ride a 173, until I rode a board with a tapered shape/set-back stance. This board feels long when you want it to, but rides like a shorter board when you aren't in powder. It's perfect. I'm 5"10' and ride the 164. I would like something longer with a swallowtail for huge days (2ft +), but aside from that, this board is perfect every day. The base is tough too. I ride Jackson Hole 4-5 days a week, and hit rocks all the time. I still don't have a core shot.
