Scott P4 Ski

November 29, 2009

got a question for the masses. Im a relatively expert east coast skier at 5'10, 170lbs skiing on 172 line anthems right now. Im moving out to cali and im looking for a pair of ridiculous powder boards with the ability to rip groomers and crud on less-than-epic days. Should I go with a ski like the gotama or the mothership? Or do you think the p4 has got what it takes? Will the 191 still be too much ski or will the early rise and reverse camber really shorten it enough to not be overwhelming?
Thnaks for anybody who chimes in

Ridiculous

Dalbello Sports Krypton Pro I.D. Ski Boot

Dalbello Sports Krypton Pro I.D. Ski Boot

Rating for this product: 5 January 14, 2009

So i recently got a pair of technica diablos, but after a few days decided i didnt like them (too plush). instead i picked up a pair of these krypton pros. got em boot fitted at a local shop in tahoe and have never been hapier with a picce of equiptment in my life. they fit like a glove. think about it like this, boots like the technica diablos or nordica superchargers are like toyota camrys, the Krypton Pros are a ferrari.
My diablos were 27.5's, my previous boots were 28.5s, my dalbellos are 26,0s. I have never had so much control of my skis in my life, the edge transmission is unreal and the flex profile it so perfect it is inexplicable through words alone. the three buckle configuration glues your heel to the boot sole and with a pair of custom footbeds, you will never want to touch another pair of boots. if you charge hard, and want scalpel-like control of our skis, this is the boot for you.
Dont think, just buy them, you wont be sorry.

great pack

DAKINE Heli Pro 16L Backpack - 1000cu in

DAKINE Heli Pro 16L Backpack - 1000cu in

Rating for this product: 5 January 13, 2009

I have been skiing with this pack for the past week and i have to say it truly is a great pack. It fits really well whether hard charging a double or sluggin some gear up to the hill. It is a small pack, it is only really good for a couple sandwiches a few under layers and maybe a thin shell, but it hase some great pockets that come in handy. the water proof camera pocket is great and the camelback holder, and expandable bottle holder are great features. The ski carry is a nice touch, making it easy to get your sticks up the the lodge or throw them on your back fro a short hike. also, even tho there is no boot carry i like to strap my powerstraps around the top loo and cinch them down with the side straps. I have it in the white chop shop and its pretty steezy, i love the look and definetly appreciate the functionality of the heli pro. yet another great buy from backcountry
