Do you have the money for a red point shoe?

Five Ten Project Climbing Shoe

Five Ten Project Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 3 October 27, 2009

These shoes definitely live up to their reputation, they grip like crazy and are the most sensitive shoe possible. However, the rubber on most shoes is twice as thick, so that although they are twice as sensitive, they also wear out twice as fast. So, in terms of performance they are great, if you have the money to replace them often.

Absolute perfection.

La Sportiva Solution Climbing Shoe - Discontinued Rubber

La Sportiva Solution Climbing Shoe - Discontinued Rubber

Rating for this product: 5 October 27, 2009

These shoes are without a doubt my favorite shoe of all time. If you are looking for a shoe for steep routes and problems, these are hands down the best ones I have found, even the testarossas are a step down because of the heel. However, if you are looking for something versatile this is not the shoe, and, although you can get away with wearing them on vertical routes, I wouldn't recommend them. If you looking for something versatile try the "dragons."

A bit too small.

Marmot Zonda 2-Person 3-Season Tent

Marmot Zonda 2-Person 3-Season Tent

Rating for this product: 3 May 20, 2008

This tent is fantastic if you don't plan to sleep two people in it, and you always have a car or secondary place for the storage of you gear because the vestibule space is entirely inadequate. Also, My fiance is 5'1" and I am 5'9". This said, we both had trouble sleeping in it. I am an avid climber and love backpacking and despite this we still had trouble with the size of this tent. Overall, the tent is fantastic quality but it is comparably smaller then any other two-person tent with which I have had experience.
