The North Face Plasma Thermal Jacket - Women's

February 3, 2009

No, it's not zip-in compatible. Even so, it's insulated so unless you're going to extreme cold, you wouldn't need a fleece that heavy- a quarter-zip one will be plenty warm, in my opinion.

The North Face Plasma Thermal Jacket - Women's

November 24, 2008

My 2007 jacket has a hood that is super warm, even though it is removable, so I have no clue why they seem to have gotten rid of that feature- personally, I love the fact. there are no pit-vents in my 2007, either.. which kinda sucks, but I usually wear it in weather so cold I doubt I would use them. The zipper pulls for the hands are very small, so they can be a pain, but the main zipper in the front is easy to use with gloves, but the pocket on the left wrist has a small zipper as well. the inside pocket is a little larger. i really do not think they are that much different, i love my 2007 one. good luck!

Expensive... but worth it!

The North Face Plasma Thermal Jacket - Women's

The North Face Plasma Thermal Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 31, 2008

I LOVE this jacket.. I bought it because I liked how lightweight it was and it fits nice and snug (I am an xs) and not as loose as most other north face this size. But then I really wore it a lot, and it is surprisingly very very warm, and extremely waterproof. Well worth the money. by the way, I bought mine last year and the hood does zip off, so unless they changed this year's styles, which I doubt, that is a wonderful feature, as are the pit-vents. Coat also has a comfort range of around 0F - 50F, which is wonderful because its great for winter and those awful rainy spring days we get here in Rochester.

The North Face Cable Fish Beanie

.. but other than that it is a great hat. I am small, about 4' 11'' and I wear xs everything in the north face, and the hat is a little too loose on me because it covers too much of my face. other than that I like it. I would not trty to shrink it.. it is 50% wool - that will shink like you wouldn't believe, and I dont think the acrylic will shrink well.
