I'm from northwestern Minnesota but recently moved to North Dakota for a job. Planning to move out to western Montana in the near future so I can be in the mountains. I love doing anything and everything outdoors!

You can definitely wear it as an outer piece. I have been skiing on some pretty chilly days and only had a fleece underneath and I stayed warm. I didn't want all the bulk either and this jacket is perfect for not having the bulk.

Awesome Jacket!!

This jacket is great! It's super warm, I have worn it skiing and hiking on super windy days with just a fleece under the jacket. It fits me great, I have long arms and the sleeve length is perfect. It does have a different design to it that you cant really see in the picture, but I thought it was pretty cool...very stylish!
