One of the most playful skis around.

Moment Reno Rocker Ski

Rating for this product: 5 November 20, 2009

These skis are super fun. The rockered profile makes them really easy to do butters, presses and noseblocks. They are wicked fun in the park, similar to invaders/ anthems in the sense that they are symmetrical noodles, but the rocker makes them ski like nothing else. You have to ski it to know what it feels like, but they are great skis. The rocker also makes them float pow decent, but they are still center mounted skis so they aren't really meant for it. I do ski them all mountain from time to time, but I have another pair of stiffer skis for when I really want to rip. If these are your only ski's I wouldn't get them unless all you are 100% rails or close to it. They do ok on hardpack and groomers, you'll be able to control them fine, but at high speeds they get a bit chattery, but what do you expect fro a ski where the tips and tails are sticking way up in the air? On jumps, the pop is a little weird and hard to get used to due to the rocker, I feel like I'm popping off my toes more than my tails like in a ski with regular camber, and I start to feel a bit uncomfortable on jumps that are bigger than 30-35 ft, because they are so soft and the rocker in the tails makes it easy to wheelie. Overall they are super playful skis though, by far my favorite ski I've ever owned. I would highly recommend them to any intermediate to advanced park skier. The graphics are dope as hell too. Sure to get you noticed. Biggest downside to these skis is that the topsheets chip a lot easier than my other skis, but I have last years model, and I hear they fixed that somewhat this year. Although any skis with sidewall construction will have that problem, and its only cosmetic anyway.

The Final Word: super playful skis. SO much fun, but I must call them what they are, symmetrical park noodles. I wouldn't be dropping any cliffs or hitting any big lines with them for sure. Don't expect the rocker to make them a one ski quiver.

Overall a nice jacket

Marmot PreCip Jacket - Men's

Marmot PreCip Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 28, 2008

Jacket kept me dry through 2 days of solid rain in the Smokies. Water seems to bead up nicer on the Precip than it did on my old MH Epic jacket. This jacket could be improved if the hood was a little bit smaller (seems to keep falling off even w/ the cinchcord) and the breathability could also be improved.

Overall, the precip is a great 3 season, lightweight, rain jacket, but if you have the dough a jacket that uses Gore-tex Paclite might be the way to go.

Great Value

Lafuma Warm 'n Light 1000 Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down

Lafuma Warm 'n Light 1000 Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down

Rating for this product: 4 March 28, 2008

Bag is very warm and comfortable. This bag seems to be well constructed (i.e. no loose feathers or ripping seams), lofts up quickly and well and compresses into a tiny package. On the other hand, if you're big and/or tall this may not be the bag for you; the bag is fairly narrow, which saves weight and enables it to compress into a smaller package, but may be too constricting for a bigger fella'. At approx 6' tall I comfortably fit in this bag, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone taller. Also, with size 15 feet, the footbox is a little small, but I guess that is to be expected.

Overall, this is a great bag for the money, unless you are big and tall. Plus the bright orange color will ensure you never lose your sleeping bag!
