MSR WhisperLite Stove
August 19, 2009
As far as simmering I believe they are very similar, it all depends on the amount of pressure you have in the bottle, and MSR has perfected the flame control on the whisperlight. I may be a little biased since I have had my whisperlight since '98 and it is still going strong, but I would go with the whisperlight if you are going for a reliable stove that will out last any other piece of camping equipment you own. It is easy to clean and it has worked in every condition I have thrown at it. Hope this helps!

I would agree with Dave, The Large sounds right up your alley. Remember there are straps on the side to cinch the duffel down if it is not full all the way. Hope this helps!

The North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag - 250 - 9070cu in

The large is the most practical, since there are straps to cinch down the bag if it is not full all the way. I would go with the large. And the Extra large is HUGE!

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's
July 24, 2009
As I said, it all depends on the activity you are going to engage in. For arobic activities you dont really want a jacket that doesnt breath. I love my Windstopper MH soft shell for everyday use, but it doesnt breath in heavy activity. The Gamma is very breathable and has a diffrent purpose than these other jackets.
The Shift is a good jacket but get it on sale, I agree with Ian on that point. It is a bit pricy but it is on sale alot, or you can catch it on steepandcheap.com sometimes.
As far as the Apex Bionic, I would say about it being the standard I would agree to a point. That is because EVERYONE has one and you can pick one up almost anywhere. It is a great jacket for going to school, grocery store, ect. It all depends what you plan on doing. Hope this helps and further clarifies my previous post.

Sigg Traveler 1.0L Bottle

Wash the bottle with vinegar and water, they also make a scrub brush that works great for these bottles. And no OJ will not hurt this bottle at all nor you. There is a backed on liner inside the bottle that is pretty much impenetrable. Hope this helps.

Arc'teryx Gamma LT Jacket - Men's
July 23, 2009
The differences are the Gamma is a very breathable fabric, not very windproof and only water resistant. The shift is a more "sealed" jacket. Much more windproof and waterproof (not a 100% on either) but not as breathable. The Apex is a city/non technical jacket. Hope this helps.

Backcountry.com Shift Softshell Jacket - Men's
July 23, 2009
It all depends on what you are using it for. For aerobic activities go with the Gamma LT. For Every day use and a more all around jacket go with the Shift. This is all based on the breathability of each type of fabric. Hope this helps.

I don't believe this has a liner like the apex. This is more for warmer weather, a much more breathable jacket. Ideal for high activity. Hope this helps.

I am really interested in this jacket the only problem there is not any place around here to try one on. I am 5'8'' and 160 lbs. my arms are shorter so I was thinking a small. I would want to be able to wear a mid weight fleece under is for cold days.
