I really wanted to like these pants. I ordered three pairs of LONGS in different colors and all three were missing a belt loop on the front left side. It is a manufacturing defect. Backcountry took them back as returns and paid for the return shipping (good). I would like to try ordering these again once they get a new batch delivered.

Good: lightweight fleece, two front pockets

Bad: no elastic band or drawcord in the waist (drafty), zippers are not YKK, i don't believe the fleece is Polartec either. The cut seems a little short for longer torsos.

This is a decent fleece vest for the money, but look elsewhere if you want something with a more athletic fit and extra features like an elastic waistband or a zippered chest pocket. I found the fit to be rather plain and boxy compared to Patagonia, TNF or EB vests that i've owned. However, my wife owns four of these vests and the women's style is much more flattering.

Please note: this vest does not use Polartec fleece or YKK zippers.

THis jacket is definitely 5 stars worthy... great construction and advanced fabric treatment. Fit is generous. I'm 6'-4", 225 lb., with long 36" arms and the XL is perfect. Love it and can't wait for a blizzard to hit. Only criticism would be for MH to line to chin/collar with the same soft microfiber used inside the pockets.

This jacket was excellent price and features the gore pro shell in the body which is an upgrade in breathability over standard gore tex. however, it does not have pit zips and is a bit heavy for anything but winter/cold weather use.

it's very light and perfect fit. nice fabric too. the quality shows.
