Black Diamond Alpine CF Trekking Poles - 1 Pair

I carried the Alpine CF's for over 3000 miles on my thru-hike of the continental divide and loved them. At first I was skeptical of the carbon fiber, but this proved to be without merit. they were my tent poles as well so the flicklock proved valuable for the quick adjustments and it didn't move like the other companies twistlocks can.

excellent gaiters

Mountain Hardwear Trail Gaiter

I am using them on a CDT thru-hike and I have been having great luck with these gaiters. The cord that comes with them is a good design but isn't practical for long-term. I typically replace the straps every 2-3 days and the original cord setup is complicated. I stripped them of the elastic cord, cordlock and lace hook and replace it all with 4mill cord as a stirrup strap and couldn't be happier.

perfect for backpacking

La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe - Men's

I have been using these shoes on my CDT thru-hike for the last 400-500 miles and love them. The first pair had some durability issues and wore out early. The second pair I put ShoeGoo on the rear edges of the toebox. This pair is still being used and hasn't had any of the previous trouble. The outsole is tough even on scree and talus slopes. The shoe is also outstanding at controlling my foot, I don't have any heel slippage or sliding. I did have to downsize from my Salomon's 44 to 43 if that helps anyone with sizing.
