La Sportiva Scorpion Climbing Shoe

La Sportiva Scorpion Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 3 September 18, 2009

The shoes seem fine. I bought for my 12 year old son
as the price was reasonable. They look good and flashy!
Good shape for a wide foot. Now for the bad, the stitching on the pull-on tabs on the inside of the shoe is very rough and cheese graters both sides of the Achilles. Still considering sending them lback as I understand there is
a no questions asked policy 100% satisfaction.
This is a somewhat minor problem but no easy fix. unless you rip out the stitching and re sew or go without tab/clip in loops.

Mammut Supersafe Climbing Rope - 10.2mm

Mammut Supersafe Climbing Rope - 10.2mm

Rating for this product: 5 August 7, 2008

This rope is not that fat! I have an Infinity 9.5 which feels considerably lighter, but the Supersafe isn't that bad, besides it is reassuring to look down and see the extra thickness if you are pushing, at, or above the double century poundage mark. I flaked it on my tarp as directed from the new fangled packaging, still kinked like a basket of worms, one rap and its A ok. Besides, it is a lot lighter than the old school 11mms I started with. Loose 2 pounds of beer fat and you won't notice fer cryin' out loud!!!!
