  • Stomping Grounds:

    Adelaide, South Australia.
  • Bio:

Thoughts of distant places drive me. In the mean time, I like to rockclimb in the Adelaide hills, but prefer either Mount Arapiles or the Grampians. The Adelaide hills have plenty of fun single track mountain biking that I get into. My favorite places to hike are in Tasmania.

Great approach shoe if you get the right fit. Unfortunately thats easier said then done. Bought a pair in N.Z. which were just perfect and really good climbers. However, after purchasing a replacement pair off the web (as no one sells them in Aus), the size was a larger. Still recommend them though.

Patagonia Capilene 2 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Patagonia Capilene 2 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Like it! Have two Capilene 2 T-shirts that I have in large as I like mt T-shirts loose. This one I bought in medium so its a little more fitted to layer underneath other stuff. Although the sleaves could be a little longer (most climbers I know have a pretty good ape index...), its warm and I rate it.

Great layer for all round use. Been using as a base layer under my Houdini on those frosty morning rides to work. Although the sleeves could be a tad longer...

Good all rounder

I think its a pretty good shirt that has been keeping me pretty comfortable on training hikes in 100 degree temps without any problems. Dries fast and has good breathability, but like all synthetics, it can get a bit smelly...

Great pant

Patagonia Gi II Pant - Men's

Patagonia Gi II Pant - Men's

After my old favorite Macpac Rockovers (solid gear from N.Z.)bit the dust(and subsequent dissapointing design change...) these sounded pretty similar to the old style, so I decided to give them a try. The loose comfortable cut suits both hiking and rockclimbing. After having a nasty fall in them, they are showing no signs of wear so are pretty tough to. A good allrounder...
