Stomping Grounds:
Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado -
Bio:
I am from Aspen, Colorado, born and raised. I started tele skiing about 8 or 9 years ago, and haven't locked down the training heels yet.
Telemark skiing has become a lifestyle for me and every winter is dedicated to skiing with friends and enjoying the true beauty of the mountains. I find telemark skiing a form of leisure, spirituality, intensity and beauty. All of which blend into a natural mountain rhythm between mind, body and soul.

Stoic Bombshell Insulated Jacket - Men's

Go with the XL, it fits me well, and you are a little bigger than me and the XL is baggy on me, so XL should be good for you.

GoPro Helmet Front Mount
May 16, 2011
Yep... My good friend uses this mount for the very front of his helmet... All the footage he has gotten is awesome, and you don't have the go pro on top of your head.... It works great right on the front.

Black Diamond Justice Ski
May 16, 2011
Definately... The justice is a great backcountry ski. It is very light, but also has good pop and stiffness when you need it. For a good all around light hard charging backcountry ski, the Justice is my choice.

Black Diamond Fritschi Diamir Freeride Pro Binding -108mm
May 16, 2011
I think the binding mounts are the same... but you can always move the mount up or back a little and you are fine if you don't want to go in the same holes.... but if you do want to mount in the same holes, then get a helicoil done.... it makes your mount bomber.

Black Diamond Zealot Ski
May 16, 2011
I would say it is comparable... These skis are hard charging skis, that perform well at high speeds, similarly to the Gotama's. They are the stiffest ski in the Black Diamond line. The advantage to these skis, is that they can be a one quiver ski... They perform great on hardpack bumps and groomers, as well as big mountain powder and trees. Along with being stiff and a hard charger the rockered tip adds a bit of nimbleness.

Salomon Czar Ski
May 16, 2011
It is debatable.... If you are a good skier I would say the 182's but with your height and weight you may be alright with just the 174.... It does have quite a bit of tip rocker, which will make the ski, ski about 4 to 6 cm shorter. If you like skis that go fast go with the 182 but if you like something really responsive in trees then the 174. hope this helps!

Black Diamond Kilowatt Ski
May 16, 2011
Go with the 175... looking at your weight and height the 175 would probably be better. If you are an expert skier they say the skis should be above your head, and plus the 175 will give you a little more loft on powder days.

Coleman 5 Foot Pressure Hose and Adapter
May 16, 2011
I use this hose to hook from propane tank to stove.... Although not directly, I have a long metal piece that goes from my propane tank straight vertical and I can put a lantern on top of it and hook this hose up to one of the adapters and then to my stove... If you have the long metal piece that goes from your tank, this setup kicks ass for car camping, because you have the lantern attachment and the stove attachment. hope this helps.

MontBell Ultralight Down Inner Pant - Men's

Black Diamond Justice Ski
November 13, 2010
I would say the justice ski... but if you want to go super-light, I would recommend the Black Diamond Drift. This ski is really light for powder and touring, much lighter than the Justice. But if you want a ski that can withstand some harder conditions but still is pretty light, go with the Justice.

Black Diamond Kilowatt Ski
November 13, 2010
I would recommend the Black Diamond Zealot. The Zealot is a good all around ski, especially for heavy powder and if you are a hard charger with a racing background the Zealot is super stiff and stable at high speeds. Also these skis are not telemark specific, you can ski alpine on these no problem. I have a ton of friends that ride these alpine and actually compete in them too. Hopefully this helps.
