Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Zip Tee Long-Sleeve - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Zip Tee Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 14, 2008

Bought this for my mother as a gift. Saying this woman is cold-blooded is an understatement (she can't even wear short sleeves when the temp is in the upper 80's). I wanted to find something that would keep her teeth from chattering even in an Ohio summer. She loves this baselayer. She is 5'2" and only about 100lbs. Don't know what everyone was complaining about in terms of size. She likes clothes to fit a little loosely so I bought the medium and it fits fine. If it keeps her warm a normal person could probably weather anything in this.

Merrell Traverse Backpacking Boot - Men's

Merrell Traverse Backpacking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 11, 2008

This is a preliminary review, as I have not run these boots through the gauntlet yet. Have only broken them in in day to day life and done a few short trail hikes in them.

Pros: Excellent waterproofing, very comfortable and warm. Very supportive. Amazing traction on everything: steep grades, loose gravel, ice, nothing stops em.

Cons: Heavy, very stiff (took 8 days to break them in). Not good for warm weather. Haven't had a day off yet that was in the 40's or 50's yet, have only tested extremes. 20's and 30's great, 70's was a sweaty mistake.
