Rubber cracks

Sorel Caribou Boot - Women's

Sorel Caribou Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 November 23, 2011

Very comfy and warm boots. Not heavy at all compared to other boots of equal insulation quality.
I've used mine the entire winter season (5 months where I live) for 4 years to normal daily walking, but also snow shoeing and longer walks, and they are still warm and comfy. But the rubber around the lower part is now beginning to crack, and they will not last a new season (unless duck tape is used).
But I am so fond of them, that I'am now ordering a new identical pair :)

Black Diamond Trance Telemark Ski Boot - Women's

Black Diamond Trance Telemark Ski Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 March 30, 2009

These are very nice boots. I've used Scarpa before, but never really had a boot that was comfy. The Italian boots are way too narrow for my feet.
BD's are a totally different story, they are very comfy and wide enough for my northern european feet. Lots of nice details on them too.
They are a bit soft though, I use them for both going up and skiing down wich they are nice for. But if you want to ski agressively in the piste I would not recommend them.

They are very small. In both shoe size and actual size. I use MP 24 in Scarpa and 23,5 in Garmont. But these I have in 24,5.
And they are very short too. My bindings are Rotefellas Chili which both Scarpa and Garmont fit nicely in. But BD are too small, the cables are too long (even the shortest version), and I actually had to buy some new bindings because of this. Not all bad I have to admit, but an unexpected expence none the less.
