The softest, comfiest fleece ever

Spyder Funnel Fleece Jacket - Girls'

Spyder Funnel Fleece Jacket - Girls'

Rating for this product: 5 May 21, 2010

I bought this jacket for both my daughter and myself (I'm usually a women's small or medium depending on the brand; I ordered the girls' XL and it fits perfectly). We both LOVE it. The fleece is super-soft and cozy and the hood is a nice added touch. We've had an unseasonably cold spring this year and my daughter and I have reached for these fleeces almost daily, both inside and out of the house. The only slight disappointment was that I ordered the black color and the fabric on the hood and shoulders isn't a matching black, but a contrasting grey. At first I didn't like this, but I love the jacket so much that I got over my disappointment pretty quickly. My daughter's jacket is the hot pink color and the fleece and fabric portions match perfectly.

Great jacket - just don't expect winter warmth

The North Face South Forest Insulated Jacket - Girls'

The North Face South Forest Insulated Jacket - Girls'

Rating for this product: 5 May 21, 2010

I purchased this jacket for myself - I normally wear a North Face women's small and ordered a girl's XL and it fits perfectly. This is a fantastic lightweight insulated jacket that offers good warmth for fall or winter weather. Don't expect it to get you through winter unless you live in a very moderate climate, though. The embroidery is a nice touch that makes the jacket stand out from others. I've gotten quite a few compliments on it. It's perfect for casual wear, but not too casual (I'd definitely grab it to wear to work on a chilly morning).

Awesome parka for the price!

The North Face Metropolis Down Parka - Girls'

The North Face Metropolis Down Parka - Girls'

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2008

I've had this coat for several weeks now and LOVE it. As some of the other reviews mention, it does seem to "leak" down more than other down parkas I've owned, but this hasn't been a major problem. It's very warm and looks fantastic. I'm 5'6" and had ordered the XL based on other reviews but ended up returning it for the L, which fits perfectly (I usually wear a women's small for North Face). This is definitely a fantastic coat for the money. I also own a TNF Triple C parka that I use on the most bitter cold Chicago winter days, but I'd say that the Metropolis is perfect for the majority of the time and tons more affordable than the Triple C. I'd highly recommend this coat, but would note that if I was any taller, I think it would be too short - 5'6" is probably the upper limit for being able to wear the girls' version as opposed to the womens'.
