I bought this knife for my little bro's 18th birthday and I can tell you he hasn't put it down. It was hard handing it over to him as I did find it to be a pretty cool and very solid feeling knife. The handle is not very thick which is great because my brother and I both have smaller sized hands, but the handle is VERY grippy. Almost so grippy that it may wear a hole in your pants, but a quality that would be good if using in wet conditions. The blade is quite wide (I guess I should expect that from a tanto blade) and also seems very solid, especially with the autolawks system. The outburst assist is a definite plus and the Verff serrations are the icing on the cake. Overall, a very quality knife from CRKT and one that I believe will last my brother and I many backpacking adventures.... unless he loses it...

The North Face Windwall 1 Jacket - Men's

Bought this jacket for my dad last christmas and he wears it EVERYWHERE. Since he works construction, he was looking for a lightweight jacket that wouldn't get too hot inside his machine, but blocked some gusts when he got out of it and temps are in the 30-40 range. This jacket was the answer and it has definitely shot me to the "favorite" position ahead of my other siblings. He also uses it when he goes snowshoeing while the mom and bro are out on the ski hill because it does breathe quite well. The material is definitely thin, but it is very soft and functions as a great mid-layer/aerobic activity outer layer. I'll probably buy one for myself too... BTW, Dad is 5'9" 155 and a medium fit great. Very true to size.

Very fast and sharp right out of the box!

SOG Knives Flash II Knife

One of the best parts about this knife is that it is truely razor sharp right from the factory! Very little pressure is needed to cut any sorts of plastic or cardboard because it is not only sharp, but the blade is fairly thin as well so it does not create a lot of drag when cutting through something. The size is good, although a little big to use as an every-day carry. Very simple and the zytel grip is very good. It does not seem that it would be a knife that could go through tons and tons of very hard abuse, but that's not what I bought it for. I bought mine on Ebay (backcountry didn't have the camo color option) for about $50. Overall very pleased with the knife and expect it to give me years of great service. Great all around knife and assisted opening a plus.
