DAKINE Cobra Glove - Men's

DAKINE Cobra Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 23, 2009

Love these gloves. Definitely a cold weather glove. I've warn them in sub-zero temps on multiple occasions and haven't had a problem with my hands getting even remotely cold. They do run a little small, but allow for great dexterity and range of motion. Gotten about 30 days in with the cobras and haven't yet experienced any issues with durability. Overall, I'd highly recommend these. Warm, comfortable, sick look.

BEST All-Mountain Ski I've found

Volkl Mantra Alpine Ski

Volkl Mantra Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2008

I've done a lot of demoing of mid-fats and fat skis over the past couple years. I'm a very aggressive skier and typically spend about 40% off piste, 60% on. These skis truly defined versatility for me. They drive through crud, effortlessly float powder, and love to throw down GS turns on the groomers. I've taken them through trees, steeps, powder bowls, hucked cliffs, and even skied moguls. I've felt nothing but love for these skis. I ski mainly in California and would say that you might want something a little fatter in the lighter CO/UT pow, but this is a great every day ski for Mammoth or Tahoe. Can't go wrong if you're looking for a one ski quiver. For a sick setup mount the Marker Jester (Big-Mountain freeskiing) or Duke(AT).

Changed my life!

Giro G10 Signature Series Helmet

Giro G10 Signature Series Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 October 2, 2008

Before getting this helmet, I had a cheap, poorly vented smith that I decided to try out after a big helmet-less crash and severe concussion. I always had a tough time controlling my temperature and would overheat on -5 degree tree runs. Who sweats when its that cold?! I was just about to ditch the helmet when a friend said how much he loved his Giro helmet. I got the G10 and it completely changed my skiing experience. Now I can adjust the venting to spew heat when hitting the trees and close em up to stay warm on the lift. I highly recommend the Giro G10, not to mention the Signature Series isn't just boring black.
