Not durable.

Patagonia Merino 2 LW T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Patagonia Merino 2 LW T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 May 3, 2012

A lot of pilling and a few holes already in my shirt from only a couple of long day trips and casual wear. Pretty expensive for that poor of durability.

Stoic Merino Crew - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Stoic Merino Crew - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 3, 2012

Awesome shirts. Super comfy, fit perfectly, (6'3 195, wear a L I think). Will stink after a few consecutive days of wearing it, but it stinks so good compared to synthetic. I have a Patagonia merino shirt as well, and these are way better. The Patagucci is only a few months old and already disintegrating, these have lasted >1year of hard wear.

Patagonia Nano Puff Hooded Insulated Jacket - Men's

February 5, 2012

Is the fit on this any better for a tall lanky skinny guy, or is it still like a gigantic garbage sack?

La Sportiva TC Pro Vibram XS Edge Climbing Shoe

July 20, 2011

I have some bunion issues, and edging/foot jams in my mythos is causing a shooting nerve pain in my big toes. Would these shoes, being stiffer and thus more supportive, protect my toe from the pain?

Awesome puffy layer.

Stoic Luft Down Sweater - Men's

Stoic Luft Down Sweater - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 26, 2009

I wanted a puffy layer/low pro down for christmas, and I was debating between this and the Patagonia down sweater. I chose the Stoic. First of all, i feel the fabric of the Stoic jacket is better than the Patagonias, and the slight weight penalty between the two is far worth it due to the extra loft in the Stoic jacket, and the extra pockets. I like the fact that the jacket has less insulation in the arms, because it keeps style points that way, and my arms don't really get too cold anyways. This jacket i think beats the Patagonia, hands down. And it's far less expensive!

My only complaint thus far is that having my hands in the pockets tends to let in drafts from the front, and that the zipper can be a bit "wavy" after sitting down with the jacket zipped up.

Love It!

Backcountry.com Merino Zip Tee - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Backcountry.com Merino Zip Tee - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 20, 2009

I love this shirt. It's great for everything I do - cycling, hiking, snowboarding (although I found it to be TOO warm under my down), even rafting in 40 degree water in 50 degree weather! I scored it off SAC for cheap, but it's worth the full price (wish I had money for more). The only reason I give it four stars is because the thumb holes are a big too small for my large hands, and they seem to be placed in a peculiar area that causes twisting in the sleeve.
