I really love this jacket. It's supper warm and the interior is soft. The Gore-Tex Pro Shell is amazingly rugged. Very tough shoulders and wrists and the rip-stop style shell body is a nice touch. The DWR is good and waterproofness is to be expected. The pockets are insulated unlike Patagonia's Micropuff Jacket. Completely windproof, packs well for Gore-Tex and looks great. The stow hood has a soft 40D nylon lining like the interior of the jacket. I'm 5'8" 165lbs and the Medium fits really well. The only problem I have and its not that big of a deal is the fact the collar has a stretch baffle that keeps snow or precip from getting into the jacket. Problem is that the collar when it's not zipped all the way up the zipper is right at eye level and gets kind of annoying. Not sure if I have the latest version but mine doesn't have the red zipper pulls and it's made in Canada.

I love that it's got a tougher exterior than other standard fleeces. Other than the fact that the wrist area pills after several months of use its a great jacket. Wore this jacket in varying conditions seems at about 25-30 degrees without doing some major activity was it's limit. Another nice thing is that it's made in Canada unlike the new Covert, good to see that someone else cares about that other than me.

The name says it all, its super light, extremely packable and after a few set ups easy to pitch on the trail or in the bush. Outdoor Research doesn't offer a full line of tents but what they do offer is pure gold. This tent has all the amenities of a floored tent with the weight of a pocket shelter. No-see-um mesh zip door, roof vent and mesh on all four sides keep the air well circulated. Pitching this tent for one used to poles and guide sleeves might find this tent a bit complicated but for ultra lighters or someone looking for a more packable option should look no further. Condensation levels stay pretty low during the summer with the door unzipped. I highly suggest purchasing the footprint, which works more as a floor than a footprint. Another attribute few floorless designs have is the floor extension that the footprint overlaps for full protection from cold or wet ground. Two person is an adequate rating the length is good but for anyone over 6' 2" it would be a bit tight. The height also for taller people might be a bit tight with the restrictions from the trekking poles. This tent for the price is a steal, no one offers a tent with these options for the price. A few suggestion for erecting this tent with trekking poles is to have a pole that has a latching mechanism like Black Diamonds Flicklock instead of a twist lock like the MSR Denali III poles makes set up much quicker and easier. Also this tent needs to be erected on almost completely flat ground to allow for good air circulation.

A nice but a bit pricey, single walled no nonsense cup from MSR. After several uses the pros and cons become pretty evident. The handles could stand to be a bit larger and have some plastic coating to avoid singeing fingertips. The size is good and bad. It's small and light enough to stow away about anywhere but doesn't allow it to slip over a standard 32 oz. water bottle. Heat dispersion is normal for a Titanium single wall cup. All around good cup for summer but for the price a Snow Peak 450 double wall is not much more price wise, insulates much better and the capacity is larger. Of course everything has its uses. I have a bit of a leaning toward MSR because I've had such good luck with them so I purchased this cup with the notion from previous products that MSR equals quality. Keep all the above in mind when looking for a cup.
