Best Road/Trailrunner hybrid

Salomon XT Wings 2 Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Salomon XT Wings 2 Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 22, 2010

I needed something that could be a good hybrid between road shoes and trailrunners, and this is perfect for that. Provides enough lateral support and rigidity for the trail, but also light enough for the road. Fits true to size for me (for reference, I wear 10 in Nike's, 9.5 in Adidas, 9.5 in everything else including Salomon). Great update to a classic running shoe.

Patagonia Micro Puff Hooded Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Micro Puff Hooded Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 27, 2009

Had this for a month in the freezing cold of Boston (ranging from 0-30degrees fahrenheit), and it has helped me a great deal. Cuts through the wind and keeps me as warm as you can be in 0 degree weather. Comes with a handy stuff sack to put the jacket in, and is uber-versatile. I'm 5'10" 150lbs and the small fits perfectly (I love the Patagonia fit, not too baggy and not too slim cut). Definitely recommend if you can get it on sale.
