Not really for narrow feet

La Sportiva Mythos Climbing Shoe - Women's

La Sportiva Mythos Climbing Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 October 19, 2009

In spite of the fact that two people recommended the Mythos to me since I have narrow feet, they are just too wide in the heel. My heel moves up and down and side to side even when I'm wearing a size small enough to really crunch my toes. However, the forefoot isn't bad for a narrow foot. I can see how they'd be great shoes for a woman with an average width foot, though.

Close, but not perfect...

The North Face FeatherLight Angel Crew - Short-Sleeve - Women's

The North Face FeatherLight Angel Crew - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 October 2, 2009

This shirt is pretty breathable, but it's a heavier fabric than I had imagined considering the name "featherlight." I find it too warm even for hiking once the temperature hits 80F. But at milder temperatures, I really like it. The fit is slightly loose and it's long enough for me to be active without flashing the world.

Too short for me!

Mountain Hardwear Wicked Tech T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Wicked Tech T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 September 25, 2009

The material is great, but for me it needs to be an inch longer for hiking and at least two inches longer for biking! (I'm 5'8" and wear a size small.)

Nice and warm!

Patagonia Velocity Stretch Hooded Jacket - Women's

Patagonia Velocity Stretch Hooded Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 September 23, 2009

I'm very happy with this jacket - it's nice and long in the arms and torso, and the fleece is somehow densely knit enough that it's quite warm for the weight. The cut is slim, so it's easy to layer over and the hood does stay in place when you're moving around. The only downside I've found is exactly what another review pointed out - I wear it on it's own, and the fabric started to pill within a month at any point of abrasion (ie my backpack).

Hooray! It's long enough to be called "long underwear!"

SmartWool NTS Midweight Zip T Long Underwear Top - Women's

SmartWool NTS Midweight Zip T Long Underwear Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 September 13, 2009

I have trouble with many midweight wool shirts since they're fairly short and leave that annoying cold strip across my back (in spite of the fact that they're made for cold weather). This Smartwool shirt is nice and long even after washing. And the material is nice and soft! It's rather close fitting, so you might want to order a size up. Now if it only had thumb loops...

Great fit for small faces

Native Eyewear Ignition Interchangeable Sunglasses - Polarized

Native Eyewear Ignition Interchangeable Sunglasses - Polarized

Rating for this product: 5 January 29, 2009

I love these glasses. They fit my small face, are very comfortable for all day use, and really do stay on during sports. The polarized reflex lenses let in quite a bit of light in bright conditions, but the clarity is wonderful. I'd buy them again in a second!

Sizing off?

Icebreaker SuperFine190 Tech T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Icebreaker SuperFine190 Tech T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 July 2, 2008

The Superfine190 Tech Tshirt fits very differently than I expected from the reviews - it's very large in the chest. I'd say it's for someone with a 36-37in chest, not 34in! But the material is rather nice, so I'm sorry it doesn't fit me better.
