Switched over from the Mythos b/c the Mythos lacing pattern was digging into my achilles tendons. Love the 'mid-top' style that reminds me of my older pair of shoes with ankle protection. Excellent edging, sticky and comfortable. My only complaint is that the tongue tends to 'roll' as you are putting the shoe on and can be a hassle but not enough to knock off any stars. If it is true that Tommy Caldwell helped with the design for the all day trad shoe with great versatility - mission accomplished.

Best and lightest oval. Slim profile. Excellent for racking and multi-purpose.

Love the screwgate for a locking oval for anchors, top roping, etc. Very clean design and well made.

I'm a pretty big BD fan but I did try on a bunch of other helmets. This had the best craftsmanship and actually fits the head. The other's I tried felt like buckets with a strap system inside.

I have tried G3's, Voile Switchbacks, BD O1's and Bomber Bishop's and so far I like these the best. For the backcountry I use BD O1's and also love them, especially the touring mode, but for the resort I love the Hammerheads. I have them mounted on the 22 Design's adaptor plate because I didn't want to drill extra holes that wouldn't be compatible with other bindings and it has worked great so far. I love the adjustability. Can notch them up tight to feel like the Bishop's or loose more like the mid-stiff carts on the O1's for the powder (and thus can reduce tip-dive). They are even great for parallel turns. The climbing wire is 'spring-loaded' and very easy to flip up and down. Why can't all wires be this easy? My only complaint is that sometimes I can hear a 'squeak' from the cables when dropping the knee.

Doubt I'll ever use anything else for the resort. If the Axl ends up being light then may even consider switching my back country set-up.

I have 5 kids (yah, I know) and needed something for my younger girls to feel safe in. So far they have been perfect for my 8 and 6 year olds at the gym. Easily adjustable and the kids like the design. Well made and should last forever.

I have love this modular system and have other Mountainsmith bags. My only wish was that it had the burly rubber foot print like my other bags but still love it. Put all my camping gear in there organized into different sections.

I have last year's Mantras (184's) mounted with Bomber Bishop tele bindings and completely love this set-up. Float well through the pow but rail on the groomers and stable at high-speed.
