It's not what you notice in these, it's what you don't notice.

I never thought I would throw down for expensive underoos, but after reading the various reviews I figured I would roll the dice. I bought these for snowboarding, I'm 15 years post op on a reconstructed ACL, MCL, PCL, the tights keep everything tight. (No pun intended.) I've ridden in them a dozen times this year, I'll get home after a hard day of riding/hiking swearing that I should be sore especially the next day....and nothing. My miniscus is shot in my left knee and typically I get the bone on bone ache going on...nothing.

I wear a shell over them and if temps are above 20 there more than adequate on the warmth factor. Anything below 20 I wear some fleece shorts if I'm riding lifts. If I'm hiking, they seem to be perfect alone, at least in 5 degree temps from the other day they were fine. The wicking qualities are solid, you don't get any of the sauna effect going on with your boys.

I'm, 6'3" 210 bought the large and they fit great. If your looking for something that helps muscle recovery after a hard day, or need addition support on bum joints, you'll be more than satisfied with the purchase. Plus you don't have to throw down 10% of your income or get a temple recommend to get them...sorry..only Utah locs would understand that. :)

The North Face WindStopper Neck Gaiter

The North Face WindStopper Neck Gaiter

Rating for this product: 4 January 3, 2011

This is definitely a high quality product. The material is stretchy enough to cover your face and stay in place with out the drawnstring. Regardless, I returned it, per other reviews, you literally can't breath in it. I'm sure there's a good application for it, but it your doing anything aerobic, you'll end up pulling down the gaitor to get some more oxygen exposing your face. Which kind of defeats the whole purpose. I purchased the Coal gaitor at half the price and it's ideal for snowboarding in blizzardy conditions.

Skullcandy Ink'd Bud Headphones

Skullcandy Ink'd Bud Headphones

My wife got these for running, great sound, crisp highs, and bass'y lows, BUT, they go into your ear canal, basically canceling out all outside noise. There basically earplugs with music. Good if your running a chain saw or around jet engines all day...but not so great if you would like to hear a car horn or a mountain biker letting you know he's passing on the left.

Good fit, good quality got the XL, I'm 6'3" 200. Fits great, not super wide like how a lot of XL's run, but long enough to fit my frame.

Gigity....gigity

Burton Custom X Snowboard

Burton Custom X Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2008

My compliments to the Burton design team. What an unbelievable board. The Custom X is incredibly responsive, has a perfect flex and snap to it. In fact the more weight you throw on the nose or tail or put into a turn, the more it seems to want. I haven't found that "point of failure" in the flex yet, nor do I want to. It's incredibly stable at high speed no chatter or wash out out on the groomers. In the chop its almost as if it anticipates your next move giving you enough pop to throw you into your next turn. Yet, it's light as hell, my first F/S 3 turned into a 5, there's virtually no swing weight. Then there's the powder....gigity..gigity...you get the point. Do yourself a favor....buy this board it'll make you a better rider.
