Best Ski Bag. (PERIOD)

Ortovox Free Rider 24 Pack

Ortovox Free Rider 24 Pack

Rating for this product: 5 November 30, 2011

This bag is simply dope. I'm really surprised there aren't any reviews on it, because it is a work of art. the features are all listed above but what is really great about this bag is how sleek it is. the helmet carry system, diagonal ski carry ice axe carry just zip right in to their own pockets so you not getting caught and messin wit yo swag. great avy gear system inside that you can access through the front of back of the bag. on top of all that this beast has a spine protector. I have tried to wear a spin protector before but it really annoys me. this is a dope solution. the green color is on point so is the blue. I have seen the smaller bag 16L it is also great, however its though to fit much in there (like Skins and water ) its best for hiking out a gate without skins IMO. the 26L is perfect for actual touring but isn't to big, fits everything you need. i dont own any other ortovox gear but this is making me think twice about that. best ski bag i have seen/used minus an air bag this is the one

Garmont Voodoo Thermo Boot - Men's 2009

Garmont Voodoo Thermo Boot - Men's 2009

Rating for this product: 4 January 10, 2010

I have been telskiing for about six seasons now and I just goth these boots. They replaced my old red ener G's and I dropped em down a size with the vodoo's for a more performance fit. These boots are incredible for a number of reasons. first is how light and tour/boot pack friendly they are, no complaints hiking or skinning and they have a great walk mode.
The better news is that they ski better than they hike, especially if you have an aggressive style and like to snap or smear turns quickly. With an aggressive active binding like the hammer head you'll really notice the lateral control you simply won't get with other boots. The 4 different kinds of plastic give it great looks and stiff alpine style construction with only 3 buckles( I WAS SKEPTICAL ABOUT 3 BUCKLES) but I added a booster strap and they work great on any big mtn terrain.
These boots don't have stiff bellows like customs of t races its a smooth flex that works great. originally I thought they wouldn't be aggressive for my fat skis and hammer heads, but the lateral stiffness makes up for the lack of bellow resistance. great boot garmont nailed this one

This is a great ski, i use mine for bumps, park, and groomers. they carve effortlessly and have held up much better than i expected. however one big problem with the tahoe is the fact that it has so much camber you sometimes get stuck in a turn, and have to almost hop to get out of the turn. other than that they are great

Volkl Chopstick Alpine Ski

Volkl Chopstick Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 February 17, 2009

this ski kills the pow, as mentioned in other reviews, you have to ski them fast and hard just like you would a groomer. they stomp big landings with ease, and float tight straights, and thread trees. you can do smears, butters and ski switch no problem. choped out bowls and crud are no problem the tip just puts every thing below the ski. they ski pretty well on groomers and runouts, not so good in bumps but who cares this is a powder ski.
