Julbo Ozone Sunglasses - Kids'

Julbo Ozone Sunglasses - Kids'

Rating for this product: 2 November 17, 2009

Disappointed! My 7 year old has been wearing the Julbo Coach sunglasses since just before kindergarten and they have been absolutely excellent. They are just starting to get to the point where we can see she is going to outgrow them soon, but still working pretty well. We ordered the Ozone hoping that would be the next step up in size and would fit just perfect. Well, they are too tight, and the frames leave a lot of light coming in at the top--they don't fit close to her face like the coach glasses do. They seem to want to push forward on her face and droop on her nose. The problem seems to stem from the width between the temples (inside measurement from temple to temple at the temple screws is about 4 and 1/2 inches) not the depth (temple length from the screws to the tip behind the ear is 4 and 11/16 inches). So sending them back today. Not real keen on the other designs from Julbo available here, so not sure what we'll do next. I guess she will have to go through a bit of an awkward stage where we have to find some smaller adult sunglasses to fit her. Not sure why Julbo can't get this right--the sunglasses are of excellent quality otherwise and we've been so happy with the Coach. Sounds like many folks are having problems with the sizing, maybe they will go back to the drawing board on these. Would love to hear if anyone has found any other quality options for kids--thanks.

Julbo Park Sunglasses - Kids'

August 25, 2009

From Julbo's website:
"All Julbo lenses are optical category 1, guaranteeing 100% protection against UVA, B and C radiation."

http://www.julbousa.com/lenses/

They are polycarbonate lenses, and as such the UV protection is inherent in the material.

These really are nice sunglasses especially for kids since they fit well and are easily worn. My 6 yr old wears them every day at recess, and whenever she is outside after school. She actually will ask for them if we have left them in the car or her locker--she really appreciates the protection they provide. Good luck.

Excellent Fit and Comfortable, They Don't Slip!

Julbo Coach Sunglasses - Kids'

Julbo Coach Sunglasses - Kids'

Rating for this product: 5 October 17, 2008

I ordered a pair of the 'Keedz' and a pair of the 'Coach' sunglasses for my 4, turning 5, year-old daughter. The 'Coach' fit really excellent, and do not slip down her nose, whereas the 'Keedz' fit well behind her ears and at the temples, but do slip down her a nose, so light comes in at the top. She only uses the 'Keedz' as a back-up pair, and uses the 'Coach' every single day. I am ordering another pair of the 'Coach' so we have a spare. Really happy with them.
