Beautiful jacket

The North Face Tempest Down Jacket - Women's

The North Face Tempest Down Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 25, 2009

I am 5'4", size 8 and I orignally ordered a size L. But that was too long in the arms and torso as well as too much material around the shoulders and chest. So Backcountry cheerfully exchanged for a Medium which fits very nicely all around & with room underneath to comfortably fit a hoodie on the extra cold days. Although... this is a VERY warm jacket. I must say though, that in the picture above it looks a little fitted through the waist but it is definitely not. I also found it a little thick on the cuffs to get my mittens over top if that matters to anybody. But that's minor. Very toasty, nice fabric - it repelled the water very well. For my height I did not find the jacket too long at all. It rested about hip length on my 5'4" and kept my back nicely covered. I ordered the green which matched nicely with my Burton Dublin green pants.

Not necessarily 100% the best ^%$#@^ boot but OK

Burton Supreme Heat Snowboard Boot - Women's

Burton Supreme Heat Snowboard Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 7, 2009

I liked my old Burton Supreme boots so I ordered these as replacements. I ordered the same old size and they were a little tight on the toes but after a few rides the boots packed out and are fine now.
However, as far as the heat goes: I had to return a battery for warranty right off the bat and the heat wasn't lasting very long but is getting better after several charges over time. I keep them on "1" and I don't feel real warmth coming from the boot but my feet don't get cold and that's the idea I guess. If you set it on 2 or 3 you can really feel the warmth but the batteries won't last all day. Turn them off at lunch or if you go in for a drink. They are working out very well. I figured the Supreme was a good boot heat or no heat so I'm happy with them so far. Even if the batteries die I still have a good boot.

Burton T6 Snowboard

Burton T6 Snowboard

Rating for this product: 5 November 26, 2008

I upgraded from a Feelgood ES to the 2006 T6 and love it. It's light, fast, stable and easy to control. Would never go back to anything less.

Just okay

Burton Vapor Snowboard

Burton Vapor Snowboard

Rating for this product: 3 September 16, 2008

It's a lighter board than a Custom or CustomX or anything less than that. But, the T6 is just as light and poppy. In fact I couldn't tell the difference between the Vapor & my T6. So I wouldn't recommend it for the high price.

Fit my Vibe

Thule Load Bar Pair

Thule Load Bar Pair

Rating for this product: 5 July 7, 2008

I was initially worried that they'd be too wide for my Pontiac Vibe and I'd knock my head on them! But they are perfect. They do not extend too far at all. I am using them with the Thule Big Mouth bike racks which by the way are too long for a Vibe. I cannot fully open the hatch back so I have to be careful. Or I could re-install them backwards and move them forward. But the load bars... excellent fit.

Best pants!

Burton AK 2L Cyclic Pant - Men's

Burton AK 2L Cyclic Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 17, 2008

We bought these for my husband to ride out West this winter. He loved them. They have become his favourite pants. Kept him so dry and were windproof as they claim. He's about a 36" waist and the L was a generous fit. He says they're comfortable too.

Exactly as it claims

Burton AK 2L Rotor Jacket - Women's

Burton AK 2L Rotor Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 11, 2008

This jacket is a 13 on the Burton warmth scale which is the same rating as their down jackets. But... it's even better than the down. I cannot feel the wind in the Rotor jacket but sometimes I do feel it blowing through me in my down jacket. The Rotor jacket also doesn't have that stay puff marshmallow feel. It's thin and lightweight.I stayed absolutely dry too. I love that this jacket zipped together with the AK pants so there's no riding up on the snow skirt and my back stays snow free and no cold drafts.
Love it!

Excellent pant

Burton 2L Gore-Tex Vent Pant - Women's

Burton 2L Gore-Tex Vent Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 11, 2008

They definitely live up to their claim. Waterproof and windproof. Kept me completely dry and never felt the wind at all. I didn't get that wet a** feeling from the lift chairs or the cold thighs from the wind. Stayed warm and dry through a very long day. I was also very happy that they zipped together with my AK Rotor jacket to keep out the snow and cold drafts on my back.
If you only ever buy one pair of pants, this should be it.
