Good all around Jacket

Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 24, 2008

The fit of this jacket seems to be a bit big. I usually wear a large, but I kind of feel like I am swimming in the large size. Other than that I love it. It packs to about the size of an orange, and it is really light. I haven't had it in wet conditions yet, but for cold temps it performs great. I usually pack it on backcountry ski tours, but i am starting to use it as a quick throw on around town as well. The material seems tough enough to take some abuse to. All in all i am very happy with this jacket

Patagonia Storm Jacket - Men's

Does this shell work for backcountry skiing? It seems to be more of a rain shell. Is that true?

Mountain 25

The North Face Mountain 25 Tent - 2-Person 4-Season

The North Face Mountain 25 Tent - 2-Person 4-Season

Rating for this product: 4 September 8, 2008

This tent is ideal for base camp situations where you can get it set up right and leave it. This isnt a tent that you want to set up and tear down alot. The fly, and the ventilation system relys on the stakes alot, so if you plan to camp in the snow make sure you bring plenty of snow anchors. I am 6'-0" and the length of the tent is just right. If you are taller then that you might have some issues. If you can get all of the anchors to hold this tent is bomb proof, and holds up to all weather situations. It is heavy, but like the other reviews say, the protection is worth it.

Good Quality

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 14, 2008

This jacket is a well made piece of clothing, as expected from TNF. it is durable, and breathes well. My only complaint is the length of the sleeves. They are really long, and get in the way when layering with an outer shell. They shoulders are also a bit narrow. I have fairly broad shoulder width, and it fits tight if i wear anything bigger then thin baselayer/t-shirt under it. If it werent for that it would be a five star item.

Great Boot

Garmont Adrenalin Alpine Touring Ski Boot - Men's

Garmont Adrenalin Alpine Touring Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 6, 2008

These boots are great out of the box. I was using Scarpa boots, and these have a wider foot base, and they fit my feet way better. I cooked the liners at home, and it worked fine. My first tour on these, was brutal, and the boots did great. My feet were the only thing that was comfortable at the end of the day. Compared to my old boots, these are really light, which is always a huge plus.
