Bio:

What gets me up in the morning? I guess I want to see what the day is going to bring and what I can bring to the day. I love to be outside and prefer higher altitudes. I work hard and when I have time to play I would choose a physical activity like hiking or biking and for relaxing it would be with a good book. My family and I have been working through the 4000 footers of the White Mountains of NH so we are frequent visitors to BackCountry for gear.

Eureka Autumn Wind 2XD Tent 2-Person 3-Season

This is my first purchase of a backpacking tent so this might be a stupid question but when i look at the picture of the tent without the fly there is a lot of open mesh. Is that what the tent looks like set up, like everyone can look in your tent or is there something to cover that up without totally the whole with the fly?

Great Shoe

Vasque Kota Mid XCR Hiking Shoe - Women's

I bought these boots because i was told they had a roomier toe area. I wear a 5/12 and I bought a six and they are definately roomier than others i have tried. The pinky toe area was a bit tight but it didnt give me trouble. I love them. Their first trial was 6 miles uphill in the pouring rain and they performed great. No slippage, feet stayed dry.
