Excellent Jacket

Arc'teryx Gamma MX Softshell Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Gamma MX Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 24, 2010

Tried a number of other softshells and this one is definitely the best. Arcteryx quality, fit and finish is well above everyone else. Yes, they are expensive, but if you compare to other brands you can see why. As far as the Arcteryx line of softshells I looked at the Epsilon and Gamma LT before settling on the Gamma MX. Was looking for a softshell for cold weather running and biking. The Epsilon was too light for what I needed and the Gamma LT's relaxed fit was too loose. I have found the Gamma MX comfortable up to 50 degrees with a light t-shirt down to the low 20s with an Icebreaker 260 top. Excellent wind blocking yet very breathable. The athletic fit is suitable for athletic pursuits and social engagements. I am 5'10", 160# and the medium fits me perfectly. You just plain can't go wrong with Arcteryx.

Arc'teryx Envoy Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

March 27, 2009

Arcteryx sizing runs a little big, you may want to buy a size down for a good fit. Going by the size chart I originally bought a Large, which was huge. Returned for a medium - fits great, not snug but trim, like a tailored shirt. Add the stretch factor and you end up with a very comfortable shirt.
