Bluffdale Utah, Denver Colorado -
Bio:
Currently I live in beautiful Colorado, and previous to that it was the great state of Utah. I pretty much love doing anything outdoors, and I consider myself a total gear freak... I love to do anything from backpacking and camping, hiking, mountain biking, kiteboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, rockclimbing, and pretty much anything else

Kelty Orb - Snow
Kelty Orb Tent 2-Person 4-Season
December 10, 2008
Set up the tent the night before and got hit by a small blizzard. Never felt the tent so much as shake, and slept perfectly sound. Woke up in the morning with all of the white stuff on top...

Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Sleeping Pad
May 6, 2009
I know that for the other thermarest pads they recommend leaving them inflated for storage, but not sure about this one... My guess would be to keep it rolled loosely, but not required to have it inflated because of the difference in materials.

Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Sleeping Pad
May 6, 2009
Whenever I go camping in winter I take my prolite 4 sleeping pad, which has an r-value (insulating/warmth value) of 3.8 I believe. According to thermarest this pad has an r-value of 2.5, so just a little bit less, but amazing for having no internal insulation at all. I have used my pad on the snow itself, in temps down to 0, with no cold spots at all. I would guess this pad would work quite well in winter all well...

Chat with a gearhead and ask about when they might be getting that size and color in stock. They can normally help out with looking into things like that for you.

Columbia Glacier To Glade Softshell Jacket - Men's
December 29, 2008
This one is just the shell, but the parka means there is a liner that comes with, and attaches on the inside, in this case one with a warm synthetic fill.

Columbia Rodeo Magic Shell - Men's
December 29, 2008
The outside shell fabric on this is thicker and more heavy duty, say than that of the Glacier to Glade shell for example. I like this shell quite a bit, and it works great for snow activities. Can take a decent amount of abuse.

The North Face Impulse 1/2 Zip Hooded Pullover - Long Sleeve - Men's
December 29, 2008
I haven't noticed it running huge at all. Seems normal range to me. I am about 5'8" and 140 lbs, and I have the small size. Its not big on me, but not terribly tight either. I like it to fit close and layering under other things though...

Columbia Glacier To Glade Parka - Men's
December 9, 2008
The other jacket that you found is just the shell of this jacket... When an item is the "parka" it also includes the liner for added insulation to the shell. The shell by itself has the snap/zip in compatibility with other Columbia liners, but does not include one. This parka right here comes with a synthetic fill liner...

Does anyone know the exact weight for this jacket? Probably not as light as a mont-bell, but still curious because I am sure it is quite nice...

Columbia Carabiner Mountain Shell - Men's

I believe you are actually looking for the Columbia Selkirk Parka. It is basically just like this shell, and has the down jacket for a liner. They sell it on the backcountry.com outlet as well.
