These are great shoes! They have enough support and cushioning for a short run, they dry quickly due to the drainage ports, and are easily adjustable at the laces and the heel. the heel did take a little while to get used to. i love the fact that i can push the heel down and use these as mules. i would recommend these over the Karma's for the few extra dollars simply for the added support and cushioning.

Not the least bit water resistant!!!

The North Face Helium Jacket - Men's

The North Face Helium Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 1 February 11, 2009

on looks this jacket is cool. on weight, this jacket is cool. on wind blocking this jacket is cool. BUT, if you need one to be the least bit water resistant, THIS IS NOT YOUR JACKET. wore this out for a jog the other day, then it started to drizzle. i noticed that my arms and shirt were wet quite quickly and did not notice any "beading" of the water. i like the style and the snug athletic fit, but i needed at least a few minutes of water repellancy from this jacket and it just was not there. will probably go with vented jacket made of a goretex type material, probably one by Marmot. hope this info keeps some of you dry!

SOG Knives Flash II Knife

SOG Knives Flash II Knife

Rating for this product: 3 January 27, 2009

I was honestly very excited to see this deal come up on SAC, the box came today and of course i had to check out my new toy. i was a little disappointed. the handle is plastic and the discription says aluminum. the handle has an odd shape that feels o.k., but not as "right" as the crkt tiny tighbreaker i currently have in my pocket. the pocket clip is extremely tight. it would hardly go onto the correct place on my pocket. and then getting it out of my pocket was not easy either. you wont have to worry about it falling out. as far as the spring opening goes, it is not as quick or fluid as afore mentioned crkt blade. i really like the knife's finish. it is black nitride or something, light weight and balanced, but maybe a little light for this size blade. i'll change the rating if after use my feelings improve, right now i'd say save your money until a crkt knife that strikes your fancy shows up.
