Garmin eTrex Legend H

Garmin eTrex Legend H

I bought this device to take along with me on motorcycle trips and works ok when you are in open areas. Now if you plan on using this as a navigation device in a car for get it. The device keeps looking searching for a signal, unless stick it out the window to get a clear reception. I took this out the mt.baker(wa) and wanted to see how this device worked in the woods. In dense wooded trails i was basically getting no signal. When I was walking back from the trails on the road I tested the eTrex again, took it out of my pocket and had no signal. I was in a section where the road had no trees just deep in the canyon, I raised the etrex over my head got a signal(from two satellites out of the 10+ listed). I was amazed to see that I could actually block the signal to the GPS device. Do not spend the money on this device, save it for a better Garmin or other brand.
