Arc'teryx Fury SV Softshell Jacket - Men's

December 6, 2008

Is the inside lining made of fleece? How warm is this jacket ? Is there room for a heavy mid-layer and a base-layer ? Is this past hip-length?

They goofed, its TOO warm...

Arc'teryx Fission AR Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Fission AR Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 21, 2008

I bought this jacket and ended up selling it. I couldn't believe how light it was when I got it. and its sure good-looking and fits like a glove. However after the first run, I was burning up, wearing only a Patagonia capilene base layer and a heavy fleece underneath. At one point I had to take the whole jacket off because I was too hot. My recommendation.... these jackets made with Primaloft ? They should all have core venting. Add more pit-zips and I'll buy a couple. I DO have my eyes on the Fission SV though, wish they made it in more colors though.

One Pant Does It All...

Arc'teryx Scorpion Ski Pant - Men's

Arc'teryx Scorpion Ski Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 5, 2008

I have a pair of these. Awesome pants. I'm a stickler for venting and when I ski, or do anything else active in the winter, I heat up quickly, and usually burn up in most garments. I'm psyched these have side vents. The fabric is soft and smooth and the inside is warm and comfy. Nice cut too.
I'm 5'10", 160 lbs and the M fits perfect.

Arc'teryx Fission LT Hoody - Men's

November 2, 2008

I wanna know why these great insulated jackets don't have more pit-zips. I tried skiing once in cold conditions with one of the Primaloft Arcteryx jackets and was burning up so much, I had to unzip the entire jacket to let some chilly air in to cool down. I wish they'd understand, we buy these coats to do stuff in, not standing in line waiting for the bus.
