Sugoi Jackie Knicker - Women's

Sugoi Jackie Knicker - Women's

What an awesome pair of running knickers. Helix material is quick drying, form fitting (flattering), and offers enough compression for the modest runner. The review title also indicates that the ill fated camel toe is not an issue with these tights, courtesy of the gusseted crotch. The first day I went to run in these bad boys, I flew by a group of strapping construction guys whose glances immediately drifted south. It was comforting to know that I was spared any embarrassment of gathering material. I would recommend these to runners in pretty much any environment. The pant is extremely well adapt at regulating body temp, and the key pocket on the back is strategically placed. They are incredible.

La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe - Women's

La Sportiva Crosslite Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 26, 2008

If you have narrow, low volume feet this shoe is a marriage made in heaven. Super fast, super light, and easy on the eyes. I bought these shoes because I've had other approach, hiking shoes by La Sportiva and loved them. Lacing is a little difficult; with the tongue protector. Getting down to the loops can be a little difficult, and the seams around the inside portion of the tongue can be a tad rough around the edges. If you overpronate or have high arches these shoes will accommodate you very well. I would not recommend these shoes for someone with wider feet or high foot volume. There is a fair balance of insulation to make these shoes appropriate for all 4 seasons (or two if you live out west ;o) . Happy Running, Metgurl

Good all around shoe for the narrow footed

Good all around shoe for the narrow footed

This is a good shoe for people with narrow feet, low volume, who like to run on mixed trail/asphalt. I returned these shoes due to some stout seams on the inside that rubbed my feet raw. This shoe would work well for overpronators and it has a nice aesthetic design.

Everything I love and everything I hate about Lumbar packs

Marmot Grinnell Lumbar Pack

Marmot Grinnell Lumbar Pack

Rating for this product: 4 June 23, 2008

I have an ultimate direction naviti that I love, and wanted to try a lumbar pack. Mountain smith just seemed too heavy, and I've always loved marmot products.
The good: shoulder freedom, well organized, secure bottle holders. Pretty much all the perks of having your bag sitting on your hips and not your shoulders. The way the pack falls on your hips, I think a petite female would enjoy it, unfortunately the hip belt cushioning doesn't really wrap fully around your hips if you have a waist that is greater than 28in. As with most lumbar packs, it's terrible difficult to get a secure fit into your lumbar area, and if you don't have the pack synched down super tight, when you jump a creek you get some pretty good bounce. I'm not sold yet on the strap that goes across your shoulder yet, at this point it seems more like a nuisance than functional, but I've only had the pack a little over a month. Overall I like the pack; it fits that unique niche that is a lumbar pack - I would buy it again, but it would be really nice if Marmot made the pack with different widths of hip in mind - like a small, medium, and large. I will admit when you're ducking into small spaces it is nice not to have a traditional pack that catches every limb that hangs down behind your neck.
