When staying connected is imperative

Skullcandy Asym iPhone Earbud Headphone

Skullcandy Asym iPhone Earbud Headphone

Rating for this product: 5 November 9, 2009

I originally bought these to stay connected when bike commuting, now I use them for just about everything. No matter if I'm bouldering, mtn. biking, or cranking on my commuter bike to make it to the office on-time these are my weapon of choice. It's very easy to answer calls on my phone with just a touch of a small button. It did take a little while to 'adjust' to their fit, as they don't fit quite as well as the Smokin' buds.

Socks that feel like slippers

Backcountry.com Merino Trail Sock - 3 Pair

Backcountry.com Merino Trail Sock - 3 Pair

Rating for this product: 5 September 30, 2008

These socks feel fantastic. They have enough cushion to be soft, yet not too much to be too soft. Everytime I hike I use these to cut my foot fatigue. They fit excellent and stay in place during long excursion. Definetly will buy them again.

Do You Like Steep Climbing?

Mad Rock Hooker EZ Climbing Shoe - Men's

Mad Rock Hooker EZ Climbing Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 30, 2008

These shoes are meant for steep climbing. With the dual density rubber on the sole and the aggressive heel these shoes love the steeps. Not quite as aggressive as the Loco (which hurts like hell), these shooes have a more natural feel. I've used the Flash but much prefer these. The rubber extra rubber around the toe box makes for great scumbing on horizontal routes.

Columbia Otter Crest ll Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 September 30, 2008

After only one week the built in belt was torn to shreds from washing it, other than that these shorts are great. The are made from very breathable fabric and perform very well, quick drying too

Extra crash

Revolution Climbing, Inc. Trooper Pad

Revolution Climbing, Inc. Trooper Pad

Rating for this product: 5 September 30, 2008

Easy to carry, not to heavy and folds up well. Oh yea and it works well as a crash pad too, not quite as hard as the Metolius so it feels a little better for short falls.

Oakley Computer Bag 2.0

Oakley Computer Bag 2.0

Rating for this product: 4 May 7, 2008

This bag has more pockets and and folders than I know what to do with. It looks killer and holds my laptop very securely. The floating padding adapts to fit most laptops. The shoulder pad isn't very soft is my only complaint.

Light Weight

Pearl Izumi Syncro Seek 2 Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Pearl Izumi Syncro Seek 2 Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 7, 2008

Love 'em, super light weight, very breathable mesh. The rubber around the toes saves you from any unwanted stubs and bangs. I did have one of the lace gromets come out, but a little super glue fixed that.

Arc'teryx Khamsin 50 Backpack - 2746-3356cu in

Arc'teryx Khamsin 50 Backpack - 2746-3356cu in

Rating for this product: 5 May 6, 2008

This packs is fantastic!!!!! The light weight material makes for a very light backpack. The moldable back piece can easily be adjusted to fit most any back and the added gear loops on the belt make for a great climbing pack. You can tell Arc'teryx has done their homework because this pack has great weight distribution and suspension. If it's an all day or weekend excursion this pack will hold most everything you need.

Great Trad Rope

Edelweiss Onsight Arc Climbing Rope - 9.9mm

Edelweiss Onsight Arc Climbing Rope - 9.9mm

Rating for this product: 5 May 6, 2008

This rope rocks! Very durable and light weight, very easy to clip with and belay with. The pattern change is easy to see, essential when trying to find the middle mark in a hurry. What out using it in a Gri-Gri because it moves through it very quickly. I've only had it a month, but it seems pretty durable so far, we'll see how the summer climbing season treats it.

Trad Happy

Mad Rock Frenzy Climbing Shoe - Men's

Mad Rock Frenzy Climbing Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 5, 2008

This shoe is built for Trad. It's much thicker than most shoes which adds extra cushioning when jamming your feet in cracks. The rubber around the laces does a great job protecting the laces when crack climbing as well. One thing I did notice is they were a bit warmer than most shoes, probably because they are thicker. If you're going to be in your shoes for long periods of time these are perfect.

Great Fit

Arc'teryx Khamsin 50 Backpack - 2746-3356cu in

Arc'teryx Khamsin 50 Backpack - 2746-3356cu in

Rating for this product: 5 April 16, 2008

This backpack rocks (so far). I'm fairly short 5'6" and the regular fit me perfectly. I had littl- to-no adjustment of the back support poles for it to fit my back like a glove. The gearloops on the belt are a great feature as well, especially when trad climbing. Lightweight and sturdy, would recommend it to anyone who climbs or backcountry skis as it would work great for either.

Need 4 Skieed

4FRNT Skis VCT Alpine Ski

4FRNT Skis VCT Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 28, 2008

These skis rock! Unlike most twin tips these are very stable at very high speeds and love to go fast, very fast. If straight lining and cliff drops are your normal runs, these are the skis for you. When you strap these to your feet you can tell these are not for the faint of heart, it takes a little more effort to throw them around. They definitely love the pow and are built for big mountain. Ski the big lines like the pros with confidence, leaving you smiling from ear to ear. Once of the most fun skis I've ever ridden.

Backcountry.com Goat Liner Glove - Men's

Backcountry.com Goat Liner Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 18, 2008

These gloves exceeded my expectations. Not only are they great glove liners, but they can be used in any situation. The added grips make them great for driving, snow blowing, and even belay gloves. Most other liners are simply that liners, these can be used in most any situation.

Mad Rock Mugen Climbing Shoe - Men's

Mad Rock Mugen Climbing Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 18, 2008

These shoes are great for over hanging steep routes or boulding. The dual density rubber makes for great edging. The aggressive heal makes for excellent heal hooking and traction, no other shoes compares in this aspect. I wouldn't use them for slab climbing, they are difintely meant for steep climbing.

Nimble Jibber

Movement Skis Baggy Alpine Skis

Movement Skis Baggy Alpine Skis

Rating for this product: 5 December 28, 2007

This ski rocks in the pow, and provides excellent float. Try imaging a perfect park ski for pow days and here's where you'd find it. With a soft flex and massive girth under foot this ski makes every feature on the mountain seem like the perfect jump. Great in the deep stuff, also surprisingly quick and nimble on hard pack. If building a backcountry booter is your idea of a perfect day, then this is your perfect ski.

Best ski boot on the market hands down!

Dalbello Sports Krypton Pro Custom Ski Boot

Dalbello Sports Krypton Pro Custom Ski Boot

Rating for this product: 5 December 12, 2007

Having been a professional ski bootfitter, I know the importance of a high performance, functional ski boot, and this boot is it. The Krypton series unique tongue design allows for almost infinite flex which translates to better control, more stability, and more natural ski control. When a proper fit is achieved skin bang is virtually eliminated. Weather you are hucking cliffs or screaming down your favorite run, you will not find a better boot. I could have any boot on the market, but this one is as good as it gets.
