Incredible Pack

Arc'teryx Maia 65 Backpack - 3772-4210cu in - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 25, 2010

This pack is fantastic for my lovely PNW weather. The pivoting hipbelt and adjustable stays give me full control over load bearing, and the pack is super adjustable to your unique physique. Being an ex-swimmer, I have massive shoulders and skinny hips, so finding a good fit was tough, until I found this pack. It fits everything I need for 4+ days, and can be cinched down to nothing for day hikes from camp. Only downside is it creaks a little with the load lifters cranked in all the way. I love this pack almost as much as I love old growth forests!

All-Mountain? Really?

K2 Luna Snowboard - Women's

K2 Luna Snowboard - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 December 18, 2007

The K2 Luna pretends to be an all-mountain, directional board, but with the only slightest of variations in nose and tail, it may as well be a twin-tip. The only time I like this board is when I'm on ice, with no chunks of snow coming my way and popping off kickers. As soon as you get to the heavy powder days where mounds pile up, you get tossed around it's got so much pop. Only way I can get back control is by slowing way down. So...if you're a slow all-mountain rider, this is a good board, initiates well, but if you want to have any speed going down the hill, look elsewhere. Immediately.
