Salomon Scrambler FG TS Winter Boot - Men's

Salomon Scrambler FG TS Winter Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 25, 2009

I'm not a snow person but I needed some boots for a weekend trip to the local mountains. I read the reviews here and checked out what sizes were available for what models and finally settled on these Solomon boots. There's a lot of confusion about what sizes are adequate. Let me state that I'm typically a size 10 and I have wide feet. I ordered 10.5 and they were perfect (with your standard winter/hiking socks). If you have narrow feet... then getting the same size is probably fine. They are very dry... despite walking around in some rather deep snow and into some puddles, I had no issues. The boots were so comfy that I could actually run in them quite comfortably (though not very fast b/c of the heft). The lacing system make it easy to take off and strap back on snug... and as one other reviewer mentioned, the nubs in the back are nice for quick removal without having to "shoe-horn" your feet out of them. I didn't walk around in freezing weather... it was actually closer to 60s and my feet were warm enough that I opted for thinner socks. Works either way. So no regrets! These are great boots!
