Pearl Izumi Quest Mountain Bike Shoe - Women's

September 18, 2008

yes they are pink - I just bought them and liked the color too, but they are not very stiff so I'm sending htem back. If you're a casual rider they'll work just fine and they will be comfortable, but if you need a stiffer sole for power transfer this one is not going to give you much support.

Arc'teryx Theta SK Pant - Women's

Arc'teryx Theta SK Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 September 8, 2008

I had been eying these for a while and finally purchased them. I haven't used them for skiing yet - but I already love them and can't wait to try them out this winter. I'm 5.4, 120 lbs, and usually an XS in ski pants. My dilemma normally is that ski pants are too long, so when I read that these fall shorter I thought they might be perfect for me, and they ARE! I have a 30" inseam in pants, and that's what these seem to be, at least for the XS and S sizes. Since someone wrote that they run smaller, I bought an S, and they fit me perfectly. Someone wrote that the they could be a bit more flattering in the back, and I agree, but the pants are made for lots of room to move in the rear and knees, so in terms of functionality for backcountry skiing they should be perfect. Finally, I usually am not a fan of bibs and mostly ski without using the suspenders. These still work for that, they are snug in the waist so the elastic and belt keeps them up so you don't have to worry about the bathroom issue but can still have suspenders on deep powder days. Enjoy!
