Stomping Grounds:
Im all over the map...and Im not sure of my coordinates -
Bio:
I grew up playing all different types of sports but nothing grabbed me like skiing. For most my life it has been my number one priority. I go to sleep thinking about skiing and I wake up thinking about skiing. The unknown of the mountains is what I thrive on…the unpredictability and the freedom of making choices keep me out there every day year after year. Each rider sees things differently and has the choice to act upon those unique views and ideas. There is no better feeling than flying down the mountain with the wind in your face! In that moment nothing else matters….

In McCintosh working with the POV.1 in Alaska. We all uses these to capture footage for ski films. Helmet cameras can be difficult but this is the best one I have used.

I would go with a longer ski. It sounds like you can handle it and it will only help you ski faster and with more confidence!

It will fit boots and much more. This bag has great compartments with plenty of room. The only problem you run into... if your worried about weight for the airlines the bag can get heavy.

Dynastar Legend Pro XXL Alpine Ski 08/09
April 22, 2009
The 194 can be a lot of ski in some situations. You are big enough to ski the 194 but it all depends what type of skier you are. I would go with the 194 if I were you.

You're tall enough that the 194's might be a good choice...it all depends on how you ski. If you feel the 187 are coming up a little short you should go bigger!

Dynastar Legend Pro XXL Alpine Ski 08/09
April 22, 2009
I think you should ski the 187. The 194 can be a lot of ski in some situations especially since you're on the Prophet now. The 187 will be a better transition length and you can still go as fast and big as you want.

Lange Banshee Pro Ski Boot - Men's
March 14, 2009
The Banshee is a good hiking boot. The details on the boot like the shock-absorbing footbed and toebox, make it a comfortable fit and easy to hike in. The Vibram soles are sweet!

Dynastar Legend Pro XXL Alpine Ski 08/09
March 14, 2009
The XXL is a stomping machine! Even if your body position is not perfect these skis will set you down like a 747 on landing. If you're looking for a ski to help you stomp landings you found the right ski!

Dynastar Legend Pro Rider Alpine Ski
March 14, 2009
Doug,I think the legend Pro rider would be a good ski for you...especially due to your size. It is a well rounded ski for groomers and most terrain. It is a technical ski that will perform with your size but not out ski you. I would suggest trying a pair and see what you think...

I have not Tele'd on the Huge Trouble but I know a few people that do. I would mount you ski right on the suggested center mount. The HT is a sick ski.

Dynastar Legend Pro Rider Alpine Ski 08/09 Model
March 14, 2009
That sounds like a great decision. This years legend is a little bit softer and more forgiving so it will be a great transition from the 8800. The legend is a much more responsive ski and you will be stoked on the upgrade. Go for it!

Dynastar Legend Pro XXL Alpine Ski 08/09
March 14, 2009
The XXL is bigger, floatier, and faster than your Legend Pro. The 187 is a great length and you can ski it all over the mountain. I ski the XXL all the time and it holds up to just about anything I want from a ski. It is well built, strong ski but it is not the most forgiving and playful ski. This is a ski if your ready to ride fast, hard and send it big!

Dynastar Legend Pro Rider Alpine Ski 08/09 Model
February 5, 2009
The Pro rider is one of the best made all mountain chargers. I have not skied the line Prophet's 100's but I can speak for the pro rider. Beyond being one of the best constructed skis, you can ask anything of the Pro Rider and it will respond. The ski is forgiving enough for small tight turns and will allow you to go as fast as you ever want too on skis. Dynastar as been making quality skis for years and this is one of their masterpieces.

Dynastar Huge Trouble Ski
February 5, 2009
The Huge Trouble is softer, wider and has less camber. I find them much more playful than the legend pro. The low camber makes them more forgiving but you can still charge on this ski. It is one of Dynastar's best powder skis and can still hold up in all conditions. I ski the ski just about everyday in all conditions. From the resort to Alaska...you have to try it.
