I personally cannot get around the way they look, but the roomer is that you actually can defy gravity and feel like you are walking in the moon while you have these incredible futuristic gems on you feet. No matter if you shovel snow for a living, go get the paper, snowmobile all day, build igloos, live in an igloo, or just love worm feet these boots are the slam dunk. Sorel has been the best name in boots for a long time and these ones will go the distance. Worm, yet lacking a little inner support for my feet, but overall a great winter tool.

Spyder has come a long way in the last few years, and this jacket follows that program. The material is durable, waterproof, etc., but most of all the jacket fits right. I have had a lot of clothing in the past few years have some funky lines, misplaced seems, and short or long sleeves but this jacket is just right. Also, the color I choose (Deep Space) is sleek and very unique.

I bought these slippers for the girl, as here feet were always cold in the house. So, not only have I found here wearing them all the time, but when she is not wearing them I find myself sticking my toes in them because they are really cozy. She has worn them outside and the little bit of tread seems to hold up, but as far as slippers go these were a winner.

These devices have their benefits and trade-offs, but if you use them wisely they will treat you well. If skinning up and skiing gnarly terrain is your goal, using "real" bindings is a confidence booster to say the least. These devices allow you to click in and get up and still have your resort setup on your feet. Some call these "day-rekkers" because they can cause some troubles if you don't take care of them, but I have never had an issue. If you make sure they are in good shape before you hit the trail you will be fine as long as you are careful doing kick-turns and avoid skinning on firm cross-hills. Additionally, the extra weight of Trekkers and real bindings will get you in better shape, so when you put on a touring setup you will fly up the mountain.

If 15 din bindings are what you are looking for, these are the jam. Tyrolia has been making bindings for todays progression. The R&D program has worked to make these bindings strong yet light and to perform in the safest way possible. They stay on when you need them and perform to keep you safe and injury free too. I have skied these bindings for 7 years now and I do not feel comfortable on anything else.

After skiing competitively for 22 years, I have had the opportunity to try a lot of bindings and hands down these are the best bindings on the market. Manufactured by HEAD/Tyrolia, the original ski company, these bindings are solid, low profile, and perform the way you expect.

I can not claim to be a snow expert, but I was with a gentlemen the other day who is. When we were exploring the backcountry, we decided to dig a pit and this gentlemen as I say pulled this tool out. I was amazed how much more this tool did then just cut snow. It has crystal measurement scales, charts, and light weight too.
Its pretty fun to cut perfectly shaped snow samples too.

If safety is what you are looking for, I would research the term "hard hat."
It is my understanding that the term "helmet" is reserved for products that pass certain safety standards.
I would do some research before putting this between your head and chance.

I have tried many types of headphones and earbuds in the past, but these are the first that I have been able to fit under a helmet or a hat and feel comfortable. The sound is adequate, and the wiring seems durable.

This little guy rocks the house, or the beach. I have used this little guy a riding a bike down the boardwalk, camping, painting my house, and on the beach. The device is small and produces great sound. While running in battery power the sound is limited but adequate, and while plugged into a socket it will blow your mind. Solid, light, and a great toy or gift that others will love.

These are in all reality just long underwear, but I have to admit that after the first few days I wore these I was happy. I can not claim that they made me perform any better, but I never noticed them, stayed worm, and felt clean at the end of the day. For me, that is all I can ask from a pair of long underwear. Worm equals happy.

I spent the last few days in Denver at SIA looking at adjustable ski poles. After learning about the new LEKI locking system there is nothing else that compares. There is no twisting yet just a simple latch system which are furhtermore lighter then anything else I found. My opinion on gear is from experience and even the older LEKI poles had some issues, but the new design is superior to all others on the market. Dakine makes bags, not poles. Look some place else for poles.

Skins are all pretty much the same from what I have experienced, but after so many pair in the past many years I have found the key is to keep them dry and they work. These came with easy cutting tool for shaping the skins to my skis and so far they have worked great, although I have not used them in super steep conditions. Otherwise the product seems bomber and durable.

These are more then just poles, they are devices to improve your skiing experience. The Trigger system seems a little hard to handle, but with any sense of coordination you will love it after a day. The ease of getting the poles on and off before and on chairlifts is great, and there is less fiddling around with straps all day.
Also, the Trigger system is a safety release system, so it could save your shoulder in a fall or if the pole gets caught too. The Trigger has a tension release spring that will unlatch the pole from your wrist if the proper force is applied. I have been thankful many times for the system and I was hooked after just a few times using them.

These bindings are designed with one purpose in mind and that is to be the light touring binding that you can still feel safe going down on. Some people expect a touring binding to perform like a regular binding and that is just not what this is for. If you want a light, high performance touring binding then these are the best. However, try them before you go on some long touring trip in Montana with a 45lbs pack on. They take practice to use and work on, but once you get the hang of it they will change your backcountry experiences.

These rule. Light, easy to pull apart, especially if you use the skin save sleeve, and work great. The trick is to really take your time cutting them correctly and you will never have an issue as long as you keep them dry.

This is the softest fleece. Maybe not a performance piece, but for the every day comfortable jacket this is the true snuggie you are not afraid to go out of the house with.

So rad, and considering all the hardware attached to it making it look bomber, it is super light and comfortable. This is a perfect belt for the ski pants or other gear as it is tough and durable. A great gift or personal splurge.

With an air pocket heal and a think strap around your foot, these sandals are super comfortable and just incase you are in the position to open beers and do not have a bottle opener you can play Macgyver and open beers with your shoe. Not an every day tool, but the best emergency device ever. Most of all they are comfortable getting to the beer opening spot, and for me I spend all season in ski boots, so in the spring my feet are supple and these sandals treat me right.

There are a lot of new ski designs out there, yet many I find to be so specific to the "jib" or "freeride" skier that there is really no need. Head's Jimi integrates all the new technology of a rockered tip, but keeps the tail simple so the stability is not lost like it is in a dual rocker ski. While the dual rocker technology is fun for those who want to "butter" off jumps or land switch, the design really reduces the skis stability. The Jimi offers all the powder skiing benefits of the rocker tip and wide ski construction, but will still ski like a ski and not a saucer.
The Jimi is sure to make you happy however. It integrates all the specifics of the HEAD construction technology, will handle in powder and on groomers (given its 110mm under foot) very well and will make skiing through crud feel effortless compared to other powder skis. After trying 25 pair of skis at the POWDER Magazine ski test in Jackson Hole, WY last season, I must say there were not many that could compare to the Jimi. I was sold after one run.

In the spring you need gloves still but do not need the insulation. I found these were enough to crawl through the snow and stay worm, but when the sun was out not get too hot. Last season I built a lot of jumps in the spring and even with all the shoveling they were durable and got more comfortable as I used them.

La Sportiva is the quiet giant in the shoe industry. They are sure to gain your attention however if you buy one of their products though. Their shoes are Italian made and the reputation precedes them. Light, durable, and incredibly comfortable. I have been wearing these shoes for a long time now and they are still looking and feeling great. If, and when it is time to get another pair, I will for sure get another pair of La Sportiva's as their quality, durability, and focus on design has sucked me in as a customer and supporter for good.

I never go anywhere without my pillow. My sleep is important to me, and those around me, so I bring this on all trips. In the car, in the cabin, on the plane. The to go pillow is great and packs up small.

I never knew how much I would use this thing until I got it. I had another more bulky and expensive one, but I never seemed to use it so I got rid of it. Maybe it was my coach telling me I needed one that made me get this one, but I am glad I did. I am more motivated and maybe a little geeky about tracking my progress both running and on the bike. It works great, easy to program.

This is a pretty good deal. BCA has made great gear for years now and I would highly recommend their products. I have had this beacon for years and it is great. The shovel is light an easy to operate and the probe is well designed. However, do not become complacent after purchasing this stuff, as you need to know how to use it for it to work. Otherwise, this is the jam and you can not go wrong with this trifecta.

This is the most logical choice of all the beacons. The Pieps is nice and all, but if you are carrying this for the slim chance you will need it, then lets be real. I have had this beacon for years and aside from replacing the batteries at the start of the season I have had no issue. It is durable, easy to use, and simple to operate even in the toughest situation. If you are looking to get the best bang for your buck, then this is the answer and I just don't see the need to spend another two hundred dollars on something you hopefully wont have to use. However, if you need it, and are in the situation where you need to use it, this device will be reliable and simple as long as you practice before you play.

You you have the bling then spend it on this little guy. I personally don't have one of these models for myself, but I was able to use one in Alaska last season. It was easy to use, as I was able to figure it out, and the design is well thought out. I could play with it while my gloves were on and the display is simple, concise, and got the job done (in training at least). The reviews are right, this little thing is the best, not to say the others are bad, but remember you have to pay the price for the best. I would spend the money on this if you got it, but otherwise there are cheeper models out there that will do just as well.

People think of padding, and they say, "well I'm not doing anything that I need padding for..." Well, I say why not?
It is comfortable and provides a little extra warmth, but most of all everyone crashes sooner or later. The difference is who will get back up and keep skiing, or who will wake up the next morning wishing they had that little extra protection.
I have been wearing padding for years now, and maybe for the reason of I do need it, but the designs and materials that are being used to make these pads now are malleable or flexible and if anything make sitting on the chairlift more comfortable. I feel naked without it now, but if you plan on pushing the limits, even from your own perspective, protect your body so you can do it again tomorrow.

I never thought that I would like hiking with a pole, but after a few miles and I got used to the cadence of walking with it I felt that I was able to relieve a lot of the pressure on my knees and body. This model is light and the grip is designed to offer many unconventional gripping options. Going up and down the trail, this pole makes my hikes more enjoyable and shares the stresses throughout my body instead of just on my knees.

Coolest, simplest, and most compaq of all the lights. This design is not made for running or strenuous activity as the strap is only spring loaded, but for around camp, in the car, on the trail, or any other light necessary activity this little guy is ready. I have had mine for three years now, and have never chaged the batteries either. It is durable, and bright too.

I have been an athlete representing a few different goggle companies over my career and after trying POC I was sold. The prices are modest, and the product is durable, fits great, and the lens quality is right up there with the companies claiming superiority. There is no need to overpay, as these goggles are going to treat you very well. There are no promises in life, but this is close to it.

I was skeptical, but when this bag came in the mail I was surprised. The material was tough, and the seems are tight. The bag was designed for use, and where it was going it would be tested. For the next five days we were going on a river trip, and this was carrying all my gear.
Well, it made it and my gear was dry. The bag was easy to clean afterwards, and my stuff inside it was safe and sound during the trip.
These bags are bomber, rad, great, awesome, whatever you want to call it, they work well.

I have been skiing for 26 years and my mother was a stickler and made me wear a helmet at a young age. Therefor, I have a lot of helmet wearing experience as well as a background in racing. Needless to say I have worn a lot of helmets in my career. However, the POC helmets have integrated all the aspects of safety and comfort into the product and it shows. Probably one of the greatest outdoor innovations to outdoor activities in our time. Alright, maybe that is a little overzealous of a description, but this water system is revolutionary none-the-less. While keeping you a few degrees cooler with the water on your back, as well as your hands free to ride your bike, look at a map, or hold the hand of your lover while you hike, this system is ready for action. I wish the top, where you fill up the bladder, was easier to open, but just twist with all your might and you can get it open. Otherwise, this is a outdoor playtime must, but for me it is best Mt. Biking.

The name of this watch tells all. It is ready for action and in a special operations kind of way. The controls are easy to operate and the software is simple. It is durable and fun, although you kind of need to wear a long sleeve shirt to make it blend in. This makes a great gift.

If your feet are fresh out of the plushness of ski boots and going on a hike, bring this along to be safe. I have had some pretty bad blisters and hot-spots in the past and this stuff works great. Keeps you on the trail and healing quickly.

Best compact light ever. If you are looking for the perfect backpacking light this is it. Not bright enough for those spelunker people, but if you want light weight and enough light to get around camp at night, this is perfect. I have had a few of these lights and after years they all work great and I have never changed the batteries on any of them.

Supposedly there are plastic bottles out there that are said to cause cancer. Well, I find that everything these days if you test it enough is said to cause cancer, but if you are looking for a plastic alternative this bottle is great. Light weight and solid. I dropped it while I was biking down the street at around 25MPH and it was fine after bouncing down the road. You have to screw the cap correctly, but does the trick well.

When it is really cold there is always those little places where skin shows when you wear goggles and a helmet. This covers those places and keeps your chin and neck worm too. On powder days, big storms, etc. this will keep you going and keep you worm. I love mine and found myself wearing it even when it was just real cold and not snowing because it became comfortable and just another layer of protection.

All season answer. I wear this jacket as a hoodie, as a base layer, or as a going out on the town worm layer. I have been in the cold wind, falling snow, and drizzling rain and stayed worm and dry. I would not call it a rain jacket, but perfect if you have a protective layer in the wet cold.
The hood is fixed, which I like because it keeps my neck worm and it is always ready.

I bought these boots for my girlfriend as I was trying to get her to enjoy the snow a little more... After I got these on her feet I was never told how cold it was again. They are fashionable, so they can be worn with many outfits, but most of all they are durable and can withstand day after day of snowmobiling and hiking in the snow and elements.

I borrowed this tent from a friend to do a winter/spring expedition and I can't say anything bad about the endeavor. Not only did it keep us worm and dry in the spring storm we experienced, but having never previously set it up until I was up at 11,000 feet in the wind, it was still easy to figure out. Two of us had an easy time moving around inside, but all in all it was sturdy and functional in all respects.

This is the every day jacket. I protects from the wind just enough that you can wear it getting in and out of the car running around town, but it breaths enough that you can wear it under a shell on cold days and be comfortable. I wear this thing almost every day ever since I got it. It repels water like it has scales, and fits great.

I have used a lot of goggles in the past few years, however the leans that comes in the "Coral Blue" option above is the coolest leans I have ever used. It compares to the Oakley High Intensity Blue as far as light emission in low light situations, but it protects enough and does not burn your eyes if the sun does come out periodically on those low light days. The frame in the Iris Bug collection are superior in many ways also. They have rubber on the inside of the strap so it does not slide on you helmet or hat, the frame does not pinch you nose, among other things. However, if I can recommend the best low light leans I have ever seen or used, go for the Coral Blue option above. You will love them.

I was skeptical at first, but after one incident I was thankful that I had these on. Furthermore, aside from the additional protection of your hips and tail-bone, these are really comfortable as well as an additional layer between your butt and the snow or chair on those cold days. I got used to wearing them after one or two days and I make sure they are apart of my dressing for skiing every day now. They protect your body and they keep you worm. "If there is an additional chance to get up and walk away, why not?"

I have always forced myself to run, because I know it is good for me, but when I got these shoes I had a new desire to hit the trail. Maybe it is the logo on the side that made me feel fast, but furthermore the comfort, support, cushion, and most of all weightless feel are all a combination I had never experienced before in one shoe. Therefore, these shoes have given me a new standard for running shoes. The traction allows me to run or walk up slopes dexterously, while others struggle to gain footing. Simply amazing and by no means are these shoes only for racing like the description above states. They are great for every run no matter how long the distance, because I guarantee I am not a 50 mile runner or racer.

As far as beanies go this is a great hat. I have had the same one for two seasons and washed it a few times and it still fits great and still has great color. The Spyder logo looks cool, but can be concealed easy. Awesome for gifts.

Pockets, waterproof zippers, powder skirt, audio holes, hood, etc. I have used a lot of jackets in the past few years and the Spyder products have taken the cake. The colors are unique and bright and the materials they use are high tech and durable. The fit is perfect, keeps me worm yet has incredibly designed venting for the worm days or for hiking. Look no further, this jacket is great and will last a long time.

These T-Shirts rock. They are super soft and comfortable and I have washed them many times and they still feel great and have the same color. Also, the logo is unique and people who are unfamiliar with the Ibex "goat" logo really seem to like it.

This is the sweetest jacket/soft shell I have ever worn. Just last week I was in a restaurant and my buddy spilled a full cup of Hawaiian Punch across the table and all over me. I stood up and the juice just beaded off. I was dry and the jacket was not colored or stained at all. Furthermore, in the cold this jacket is wind-proof and worm. Great color options and an all round sweet coat.

There are a lot of bikes out there with many different shapes. Therefore, many bikes do not fit on some types of racks. However, this rack fits all bikes, and it is lower to the ground then others so it is easy to load and unload compared to other racks. It also folds up for parking or storage, as well as it has a lock option to secure the rack and bikes themselves.

When I first started using Electric goggles I was stoked. However, through the season the quality of the goggles diminished quickly. After a few weeks the lenses started to fog, and after a few months the color that made the goggles cool started to fade and look dirty. Furthermore, the stitching that holds the strap to the frame started to fray and looked horrible. Also, the lenses scratch easily and have a weird glare that distorts your vision in bright sun light.
If I were you I would look at another option.

Ski socks are very important to staying worm and having your boots fit well. They need to wick moisture, yet be thin enough to fit comfortably in a boot. These socks do just that and they are durable too. I have been wearing these socks for a long time now (considering the life expectancy of a sock) and they still fit and feel great. These socks have special stitching to form to your foot and feel great. Highly recommended.

Summer is just around the corner and it will be time to hit the trail. These bots are perfect for many activities, but durable enough for any of your hiking activities long or short. I had a pair of these La Sportiva shoes last season and loved them. It took one or two trips to break them in, but once they fit they fit like an extension of my foot. They are light, comfortable, durable, offer incredible traction on all conditions, and ready for action.

This is more then a watch. Although it took a little time to figure out how to operate and use all the features, I have found it to be durable yet comfortable. I find it to be very motivating, as there are no secretes as to how hard I am really working, how long I have been working, and how far I have gone... Uploading data is easy and I can create graphs and track my training progress. Great investment into your training program or just an interesting toy to play with.

I got this pack for a four day trip and loved it... Given that I got stuck carrying all the heavy stuff in the group I had to do some adjusting on the trail, but when I got it fitting correctly it was great. It is large enough to bring that extra jacket, and has pockets and clips for everything you need. Make sure you get the right size, but otherwise I have no complaints as the pack is very well designed.
