Spec Sheet that comes with tricams Backcountry has at least one of the ranges wrong ,#7, hopefully this clarifies.

I have never seen a Helium with a 9kn minor axis load "cross load" rating only 7kn and have seen 9kn only for open gate rating.

Not really, You can wrap them around the back, buckle it, and then tighten it down as much as possible. They will stay out of the way in that configuration if you considering hauling it up a rock face or for motorized travel.
