Great sturdy tool, it's all you need

Burton Minimalist Kit

Burton Minimalist Kit

Rating for this product: 5 December 20, 2007

I was impressed with the tool especially, each tool firmly locks into place and it doesn't include anything you don't need. Good build quality as well. The stomp pad studs function well, but I ended up opting for something else because it looked more "punk" then I was expecting.

Perfect for board and a day worth of gear

Burton AK 30L Pack

Burton AK 30L Pack

Rating for this product: 5 December 20, 2007

This pack holds a board well in both the vertical and horizontal position. The hip pockets are nice for tools and snacks. I found the mp3/goggle pocket to be about right for goggles, but that fills it up. Suspension is comfortable with the right amount of padding. The internal storage for a shovel blade and handle is nice, although I'm not sure how durable the material will be against sharper metal. The side compression straps work well for carrying trekking poles and other items. Overall I'm impressed, just hope the build quality and materials will hold up to the test of time.

Lowe Alpine Extreme Attack 20+20 Backpack - 2400cu in

Lowe Alpine Extreme Attack 20+20 Backpack - 2400cu in

Rating for this product: 5 December 14, 2007

First holding the pack in my hands I noticed it's great build quality and attention to details. The suspension was well-formed and the materials feel durable. The features like the rope carry system, the 20+20 expansion, and the ice tool carry were built for function. Overall solid, functional pack.

Best Gore-Tex shell available, liner not sized correctly

Burton AK Gore-tex 3L Hover Mitt - Men's

Burton AK Gore-tex 3L Hover Mitt - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 12, 2007

This glove has an excellent Gore-Tex shell that is very durable and well-constructed. However, the middle insulation liner is definitely to small for most hands; i don't have large hands. I purchased a large (the Burton sizing chart sized me at a medium) yet still the liner was too tight with all three layers on. To fix the problem, since I really like the shell was to order Outdoor Research's PL 400 Mitt Liner. I would recommend this combination. It's still a three layer glover because I have the Burton 4-way stretch inside the OR mitt liner.
