Rock on! Great Shoe

Five Ten VMile Climbing Shoe

Five Ten VMile Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 March 26, 2009

I'm an intermediate level climber and got these to use in the gym mostly though I occasionally venture outdoors. They are very stiff which helps 'em hold on any little edge, but I guess they wouldn't be the best out there if you have to do a lot of smearing. Haven't any problems with slipping thus far though. I've been using them 3 times a week in the gym for about 4 months and they have shown very minimal signs of wear and tear. These run slightly small, but I still wear the same size as my street shoes. Even though they have leather uppers I haven't noticed much stretch.

SICK!!!

Scott Punisher Alpine Ski

Scott Punisher Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 February 11, 2009

Only skied these on one trip to Jackson Hole so far, but they did not disappoint. Had some deep pow on the first day and for an 89 mm waist these were surprisingly floaty. This ski is pretty much an all out stud anywhere on the mountain. Not the best for hardpack and groomers, but they still exceeded my expectations. I only ski twice a year so multiple pairs of skis for varying conditions were not an option for me. I would recommend these for anyone who loves to keep to the pow, steeps, and trees but doesn't mind the occasional groomer and needs a do everything ski.

Good if you don't mind the noise

Marker Griffon Ski Binding

Marker Griffon Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 4 February 10, 2009

I've used these bindings on one trip to Jackson Hole. I ski mostly black and double black. After the second day the plastic construction of these bindings began to squeak every time the ski flexed. This is my only complaint. Other than the noise, these bindings rock. I mounted mine on a pair of Scott Punisher twin tips. Not sure if the Jesters are quieter, but you should check into it. If you don't mind the noise, the price is right on!

Good bag, not much padding

DAKINE Fall Line Single Ski Bag

DAKINE Fall Line Single Ski Bag

Rating for this product: 4 February 10, 2009

Good bag overall. Description was slightly misleading. There is only padding on the bottom of the bag, but if you pack your skis with clothes, etc. it should be no problem. Good construction and should last awhile. For the price, it is a good buy.

Marker Griffon Ski Binding

February 5, 2009

Hey Rob, I put mine on 89 mm waist. You could fit the 90 mm binding on a 96 mm waist but you'll have to bend the brakes. It is a good binding though. The plastic may creak a little after a little wear, but it's not a huge deal.
